The Guide is your friend: http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/18/ http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/14/ http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/81/
I copy my sources like this: 1. create an empty folder like "D:\NLITE\XPCD" 2. start nLite and point it to the source: a real CD in my CD-ROM or a mounted ISO 3. nLite asks me to choose a folder - I point it to "D:\NLITE\XPCD" I never copy the sources manually from CD to folder.
I think there simply 1 thing missing: 1 The folder has to be $OEM$\$1\Install From my german forum (Guides): http://wiki.german-winlite.de/index.php?ti...ation_einbinden
If you want to save space on your XPCD, you can savely delete these folders: -ROOT --DOCS --VALUEADD --SUPPORT --DOTNETFX also -ROOT --I386 ---WIN9XMIG ---WIN9XUPG ---WINNTUPG These are only needed for upgrade from older systems. You`ll save about 100mb on your XPCD by removal.
That`s my section of "winnt.sif" - look at the spaces: [GuiUnattended] EncryptedAdminPassword="No" AutoLogon="Yes" AdminPassword="*******" TimeZone=110 OEMSkipRegional=1 OemSkipWelcome=1
Maybe you removed not enough - I always remove all these old driver-stuff, which is integrated in XP since it`s been released. You`re invited to my german forum - see my signature.
Nickie827, you are from Holland, so maybe you are able to understand a german guide. Just give a try to "German-WinLite-Guides": http://wiki.german-winlite.de/index.php?ti...te:NLite-Portal
This is way too much! Many drivers are 2 or more times included, maybe in different versions! Some (SiS) are for W2K, not XP. Why are you including that holy crap? Give a try to www.driverpacks.net > MassStorage
THX @ "W3bbo" and all the staff behind! Hard work, man! I hope it will be "as final as can be" - so you can rest a while. If you need hosting - send PM.
sam1984, which hostsystem did you use as nLite-enviroment? Was it Intel or AMD? I remember there where problems with Intel mashines, but I can`t find the thread.
-X- told you: You can write this in a batchfile, e.g. "sourcecopy.cmd", place in $OEM$ beside the "cmdlines.txt" and add a line into it. Edit: Remove this red backslash.
Welcome @ MSFN-Forums! To analyse your problem please attach your "Last Session.ini". It can be found in root of your new XPCD and in nLite`s programfolder\presets (if it`s still there).
If it is like "macgyvr" tells us, booting into "Safe Mode" (F8) could make a difference. Also an "Ubuntu-Live-CD" shouldn`t heat up the PC like that. Give it a try - it`s for free.
To tell it "loud & clear": It`s not a bug of nLite - it`s a MS-"Feature": http://support.microsoft.com/kb/950722 nLite does nothing more than /integrate SP3 into the source.
Another solution (if you don`t want to use nLite) might be at "DriverPacks.net". Look at the Latest, you need "MassStorage" and maybe "Chipset". You`ll also need the "DriverBase".
Are you sure about that: ;Telephony [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TapiSrv] "Start"=dword:00000002 I always set this "Deactivated" - WLAN (without any 3rd-Party-Software) is still working.
adrian2055, like Kel said: This is way TOO high! It should be half of those temperatures. If these are the temperatures when the laptop is runnung under Win7, and they rise under Vista, then please consult your dealer. Before it`s too late...
In XP one time I forgot to integrate the correct drivers for my AMD X2 3800+ Socket 939. It got definitly hotter than with the correct driver. So it can be an software-issue. But I don`t think so - it`s surely like CoffeeFiend told you - clean up everything and control the vents if they are running. Run Everest to see which hardware runs into overheating.
It should be "Don`t run Vista"... There is no reason to mention this on every single page - cause it isn`t true. But it causes some special problems - and we try to solve them.
