  2. This version of Heart - If Looks Could Kill might not be the live version, but I find it much more listenable. Cheers and Regards
  3. @oxb, Please see my question above. (It was directed to you.) Cheers and Regards
  4. @oxb, This might be a dumb question, but, if I understand this, since the "outer" folder (A, B, C, ...) seems to always be the first letter of the Client name, why is it necessary to have the user enter both steps? I mean if you just have the user enter the Client name such as "Ajax", then the script should be able to easily figure out that the .doc file copies and edits are going to to happen in the "A\Ajax" folder, right? Or is that not actually the case? Leaving in both steps allows more flexibility, but if what I surmised is really the case, then automating it will eliminate possible "misfiling" mistakes. Cheers and Regards
  5. Just curious -- Why? As submix8c explained. They are really not usually intended to be installed that way. What is the issue with installing them as addons? Cheers and Regards
  6. And we learned absolutely nothing at all. Your secret is safe! Cheers and Regards
  7. I wonder as well. You could always offer to stop by and give him a hand if you are ever in the neighborhood. Cheers and Regards
  8. Other than the fact that there are certain apps that you cannot install too early, since some of the required structure or prerequisites are not in place yet, I think a lot of the rest of the choices as to when in the process your apps are installed comes down to a personal preference. I prefer to do app installs as late in the game as possible, such as RunOnceEX, since the type of app installs that install there can also usually be installed to a running system, making testing of those app installs convenient. Those same type of app installs can usually be used, or easily modified to be used, by tools such as WPI. That way you can keep your app installs on a separate install medium than your OS install, if you prefer, which makes maintenance, updating, testing, etc more flexible and convenient, IMHO. Others have different preferences or opinions. What is important is what works for you in your circumstances. Cheers and Regards
  9. Where vinifera might be going is to the Show Active Posts, that's where I go. I would guess the blue/green icons there will mirror those on the XP Forum page. Thanks for the info. I didn't realize the full meaning of the color difference. I think that should be browser independent, but I could be wrong. Cheers and Regards
  10. Fast here too. Cheers and Regards
  11. What I assume is happening is that someone is making an entry to the poll. I think that shows up the same as a post as far as "recently updated" is concerned. But that's just a guess. EDIT: Or maybe it has something to do with the recent database updates? Whatever it is, it is annoying. Cheers and Regards
  12. Be careful referring to your version as W2K SP5.0 here, since tomasz86 is in the process of putting together a "real" unofficial SP5 as you have probably seen mention of. No since in adding to the confusion. Cheers and Regards
  13. Don't I remember you saying that the sound card had an extra power connector that you have not connected because you felt sure that the card could pull enough power from the main card-edge connector? Try connecting the extra power connector and see what happens. Good testing by the way. Cheers and Regards
  14. Yes, I think it is. Look down further: Cheers and Regards
  15. Here - http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16. Next time, please just use Google and search for "KB890830" without the quotes. Cheers and Regards
  16. NO! Cheers and Regards
  17. Without knowing which files you modified, and how you modified them using which tools, you are on your own. Our crystal ball is broken. Cheers and Regards
  18. Ask in the StartIsBack thread. - http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/158666-start-is-back-133/ Cheers and Regards
  19. I noticed that it says that the "schedule" service must be running for the "AT" command to work correctly. Is your "schedule" service running? Cheers and Regards
  20. Correct. Cheers and Regards
  21. If you can do everything you want to do, then leave it alone. Cheers and Regards
  22. Welcome to MSFN burfadel! Glad to see you here! Cheers and Regards
  23. From submix8c's pic above: That is truly the way that all external devices should have been designed. For universal application. I know it's more expensive that way, but if only they were all designed to be that flexible. Cheers and Regards
  24. @ppgrainbow, We are really having a hard time understanding how to help you regarding your efforts to get the IBM Travelstar 8E working with your ASUS G1S laptop. For the moment completely forget about the driver and any other software issues. We don't seem to understand how you are physically connecting the drive to the laptop. What wires are you using? Where are you plugging them in? You said So, I'm still confused - an ADAPTER of some sort? Again, how? It's a PCMCIA device (I have a PICTURE of it as well as some other documentation) with a CARD on a CABLE from the HDD ENCLOSURE thet is SUPPOSED to plug into a PCMCIA SLOT on the PC. See the PRIMARY question. HOW are you plugging a PCMCIA "Card" into a USB SLOT??? ADAPTER OR NOT??? Jaclaz asked the SAME QUESTION and you WILL NOT ANSWER!!! That's correct. There is a small circle found on the back of the Travelstar 8E unit where you have to connect to the adapter with. As for a PCMCIA-to-USB adapter, I will look getting a PCMCIA-to-USB adapter and how to get it working on the ASUS G1S laptop. Best as I can tell, the drive requires a data connection to the laptop (the PCMCIA interface) and possibly a separate/additional power connection ("small circle found on the back of the Travelstar 8E"). For some external drives the data connection can provide the necessary power and the power connection is not required. I'm not familiar with the Travelstar 8E and have not looked at any documentation regarding it so I don't know if that is true in your case or not. But the data connection from the drive to the laptop is always required. So please explain how you are connecting the data link from the drive (the PCMCIA connection) to the laptop (I assume you will need to use one of the USB connectors since you say that the laptop does not have a PCMCIA connector)?????? Or is this true???: Which is it? Are you able to use a PCMCIA connection between the two? Do you need a PCMCIA-to-USB adapter? Or what? Until you can physically connect the two in a compatible manner, all your efforts to get drivers etc is a complete waste of time. Cheers and Regards
  25. You also might be able to use RoboCopy - http://ss64.com/nt/robocopy.html See here for a similar example: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/472692/how-to-copy-a-directory-structure-but-only-include-certain-files-using-windows Cheers and Regards
