i done it to ws2008 its cut 100-350mb but nothing that vlite cant do when i remove the winsxs too it didnt change the install size how much did u success to remove ? did u use WAiK ? [ sorry for off topic ]

hey i have the same problem i have idea that might help my xp is on another drive then vista so i could disconnect it and install it on xp without changing the bootsector of vista ? is that gonna work ? gonna try it on vmware soon

u could do it with pkgmgr.exe and WAIK only offline [as far as i know]
