It's also blocking svchost from accessing the Internet a lot. ZoneAlarm is a stupid firewall, honestly. svchost.exe/Generic Host Process for Win32 Services should be allowed to access the Internet. It handles things such as updating the computer time and more. If you're displeased with ZoneAlarm, try Outpost Pro firewall. I can even give you a ruleset list for the svchost.exe to try that wil tighten the firewall and your computer.

You have a top of the line machine to run it with new graphics drivers. You are overkill on XP, your machine is licking it's lips for VISTA My machine is not a living object, it is inanimate. I put on what I want and remove what I want to be rid of. I would rather have a top of the line, extremely well performing Windows XP machine that does everything I want, than to take a chance with Vista.

Problem is, Spyware Doctor returns countless false positives. I had a harmless shortcut to a folder I always use on my desktop and Spyware Doctor said it was a keylogging trojan.
