  1. thanks, , anyways, yea i will get another stick once i get more money
  2. right now i have 256mb ram, and an amd athlon xp 2200+, it runs around 70*C most of the time, i heard that it dies like at around 80*C, if i put in another stick of ram which is 512mb, will this increase the temperature of the cpu? i just dont want it to overheat and die before i get my new CPU.
  3. so whats the point of a motherboard detail saying (for example:FSB 400/333MHz) then?
  4. Do i have to match a CPU FBS with a MotherBoard FBS? Example: I have a 266MHz FBS Processor, but the Motherboard has FSB 400/333MHz. does the motherboard have to have the same FBS as the CPU?
  5. Today's hardware was already outdated yesterday....best not to dwell on these matters too deeply. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well yes i could do that buy a 9800SE card but i cant seem to find one thats compatible with AGP 2.0 X_X.
  6. yes but that better part, will be bottlenecked because of my specs =O. i know that 9800PRO will run full performance on my system =D. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So then you will have some as a reserve to kick in when upgrading the rest of system... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> heh by the time i do that, the 6600GT might be close to being outdated
  7. yes but that better part, will be bottlenecked because of my specs =O. i know that 9800PRO will run full performance on my system =D.
  8. 7800GTX is only my dream card, not a reality card ;D. plus my mobo is AGP 2.0. hehe
  9. hehe, ive been ranting here about my upgrades but i got 2 down and 1 to go the topic says it all, im thinking about upgrading my computer, the most i need help is with my video card, Specs: Amd Athlon XP 2200+ Socket A Thoroughbred B Biostar M7VIG Pro Socket A mATX with AGP 2.0, 3 PCI slots and 1 CNR S3 Graphics Prosavage at 32mb memory shared 256mb Ram at PC 2700, but runs at PC 2100 speeds(will add 512mb to it) 2x 40GB Western Digital HD at 7200 RPM LG CD-ROM Standard 400W Power Supply(will upgrade to an ePower Tagan) well the thing is im choosing between This MSI nVidia GeForce 6600GT and This ATi Radeon 9800Pro the thing i like about the GeForce 6600GT is that its powerful and stronger than the 9800PRO, but the downside is that im not sure how high the performance will be since i have weak specs, the thing i like about the 9800PRO is that it was once one of the top video cards, its performance is great, and its like 60%-80% of the GeForce 6600GT's price, but the downside is that, now all the video cards are beginning to fade away since all these graphical games like BattleField 2 are out and the 9800PRO will be outdated in a year or so, well in my opinion anyways, so i need help choosing, which one should i pick? right now im leaning towards the 9800PRO Source Of Person Running A 6600GT With Worse specs than mines A Quote From Newegg's Review of the 9800PRO i chose
  10. what is this pc going to be used for?
  11. sv_cheats 1 sv_showhitboxes 2 try that lol.
  12. i say get 2 512mb because its more ram =)
  13. i just want to note everyone, Stay Away From PNY! i had a 6600GT of theirs and i returned it cause i faced too many problems with it.
  14. by DDR-S do you mean SDRAM or what? there is no such thing as a DDR-S unless you mean DDR's.
  15. like i said, many, not all. they must of been in the "not all" category. but yea. I agree with you Mekrel, Leadtek is great! i remember setting one up for a friend and it worked amazingly.
  16. meh.. i dont recommend XFX, too many people usually run into problems with it.
  17. oh i see, if only i had my mobo manual =/. otherwise im clueless. it didnt come with a manual because i had a manufacture(i forgot how to spell that word) build the computer i have right now for me. =/. Owell, ill try to find a pdf of it or something. by the way, how do i mod a case?
  18. hmm, ill keep that antec case in mind and think about it. by the way if i do buy that case, i also have a question on some plugs. there is a picture below and i circled the part i needed help with. the question is where would i plug it on the mobo? or do i connect it come where else? <3 NewEgg <--same case but cheaper
  19. then, number 1 it is , thanks everyone for all your help. ugg i guess i wont order until august since my mom keeps saying she will order all the parts for me later X_X.
  20. i say either eVGA, or MSI. but thats just my opinion anyways.
  21. I think they are too expensive X_X i dont go to any lan parties because im not old enough yet, =/. but if i do go i would just buy a shuttle pc =). but anyways, can that case you posted hold microATX mobos? This Looks like a fine case
  22. right now i have 256mb, im going to buy a stick of 512mb for now and then later im going to take ou the 256mb and put in another 512mb stick. i want to spend around around $30-$50 on a 512mb ram.
  23. Whats is the difference between those two? It looks like The All-In-Wonder is for media stuff like movies and such. all in all, which one is best for gaming? edit: i have another question, whats better? a GeForce 6200 or a Radeon 9600 Pro?
  24. so ok, lets say this, i run a 512mb in one slot, and a 256mb in another slot, in single channel mode, it shouldnt cause a problem right? but if i run those in dual channel, something will go wrong right? the dual channel part is not a problem for me cause my mobo doesnt support it anyways.
  25. hehe, and what do each mean? i tried googling em but couldnt find a clear definition for em.
