How do i get it back? i need this for Ventrilo because whenever someone joins the server, i can't hear their phonetic to tell whether they joined or left. I went to the Ventrilo website and checked out the forums and the FAQ said to download, Microsoft SDK I did that but it still didn't work, i still have it installed and i dont have the "speech" in my control panel (Start --> Control Panel). Can someone help me get it back? thanks.

so both the freezing and i can download again are fixed, but my downloads are really slow. I disabled the Windows XP SP2 Firewall. But i don't know how to disable the router firewall, i disabled something called the Don't know if thats the right one or not. I also disabled the "Trend Micro Security Services" tried searching but it kept showing results for other routers. =/. ok i follow the steps and all but then i get this error after the last step. "Server IP address cannot be router's LAN IP address." I used the ip the site gave me. edit:Nevermind i got it. thanks.

Hi i have a problem. i just got a new router today, a Netgear WGT624 ver 3 to be exact. So then i install it and everything worked fine and dandy. Then there is my p2p program, with shareaza. i open it for the first time, it works fine, but it says something about a firewall and saying i should disable it. so i close shareaza. i tried to disable it and couldn't find out how. then i opened up shareaza again and it freezes my computer. i had to manually shut it off and restart it. after the restart, i reopen it and it freezes again. can someone help me fix this? thanks.

k i tried it and it didnt work. when i try to over install, it goes back to the windows installer thing at the start and says the same error so thats like the first thing that comes up when i try to over install. =(.

i tryed a uninstalling and reinstalling but when i even try to uninstall i get that message so it is like impossible to even uninstall. So does anyone know a solution to this?

Yes, oh yea, i forgot to mention that i get the same error as the first picture attached when i launch MSN Messenger too.

I was just wondering whice would be the best router/adapter combination. I'm planning on spending less than $100. I want the router to be able to not lag as much when gaming. and have a big coverage area. just big enough to cover a 1 story, 3 bedroom house. thanks. i defragged last month, its running around 30C. and ill clean out the fans later, since now i see some dust. i havent updated any drivers at all. im using the drivers that were from the cd. I have NOD32 running, MSAntiSpyware, and adaware running but they always run even when i used to get 40-60fps.

Well anyways heres the deal, when the first couple months i got my new computer, i played Counter-Strike: Source and got around with 40-60 FPS. now when i play it i get 10-20 fps... could it just be my comp getting older? by the way i got my comp like September of this year. Specs: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Venice Core 40GB Western Digital ATA 100 2mb cache NEC Dual Layer DVD+/- 3540 DFI nF4-DAGF mobo ATi Radeon x300 128mb hypermemory Corsair Valueselect 512mb MSI Tv@nywhere TV tuner XCLIO 480W Power Supply Aspire X-Plorer steel black case with 2 fans, 1 on the back and 1 on top.

when you play cs or any hl/hl2 game, type net_graph 5 in console and it will show choke, it should stay at 0, but mine always goes to 15 and higher.

If it isn't really warm to the touch, then it isn't overheating. If it is so hot that you instantly have to take your finger off it as fast as you put it on, then it is overheating. A common sign of overheating on a video card is strange artifacts occurring (even outside of gaming, but mostly in). Sort of like when you play an old Nintendo game and you bump the cartridge and lots of blocky crap fills the screen... like that. oh ok i dont get that. so my video card is not overheating. i think its the "choke" thing i said because in starcraft, gunz, maple story, etc. my fps stays stable, its just those hl games like cs, and day-of-defeat i have problems with.

umm, while looking over my fps in cs, i saw that my choke was over 15, that must be the problem, before it was 0. how do i fix this?

i think my video card is overheating, i felt the card and it wasnt really hot, it was only warm. but then again im not sure because my cards only cooling is a heatsink and no fan on it. also, it goes as low as 1 fps when it jumps all over the place, cause my fps wont stay stable at a certain fps anymore =/.

damnit, on first screen it says 100 fps, but when i get into the game, i get 50 fps... but when i multitask, it doesnt lag much. =/

thanks, i used perfectdisk last night, shut it off and went to bed, now woke up and i get my regular stable 100 fps in cs. thanks again.

yesterday i played counter-strike 1.6 and was very stable at 100 fps. then i stayed overnight at a friends house in L.A. then i came back home today and played cs, then my fps went jumpy, it kept going from 30 to 70 back and forth. this concerns me because it is a new computer i got like 1 month and 2 weeks ago. does anyone know how to fix this because i am clueless. thanks. edit: ive tried to restart, and shutdown too. didnt work. =/, also my video card is a ATi Radeon x300 HE edit2: i also noticed a huge slowdown when browsing and multitasking, this never happened before, scanned for syware and viruses but none. =/. edit3: aww realized i posted in the wrong section, sorry.
