ye i had that a few time, it to do with permissions in the registry. its like i was an administrator but i couldnt delete the temp registry key nlite made for it until i eventually changed the permissions, but after it deleted i tried integrating it again and kept doing the same thing over n over. still works fine though (i think)

the Microsoft.VC80.CRT sound like th SideBySide thing, but on XP it doesnt effect anything at all

you know when you open nlite and it tells you it size, service pack, etc..., mine says united states is there a txt file (or any file) where you can change it to United Kingdom or whatever?

the best choice is on the removal page at the bottom there are to presets Safe and Lite, just select Safe and untick anything you think is needed i.e. keyboard layout, pinball, etc... hope that helped, dunno the answer to your second question

integrate windows installer 3.1 using nLite, just make sure it adds it last

i think that it would be best to use a fresh source just copy the Winnt.sif (in the I386 folder) to your original but now updated disk just use an update pack it has the latest hotfixes and does them all in one go http://www.ryanvm.net/msfn/updatepack.html its at the bottom under downloads "Post SP2 Update Pack" (all updates released after SP2) just add the file downloaded in the hotfixes section on nLite, not need to use the integrator underneath it

You can integrate both but if you get a message asking for PNP or text, high light them and select text, click ok, select text for all the messages dont integrate any x64 drivers though or 98,ME etc...

theres a great invention called google, but it would be nice to have it on nLite

personally i think theres enough popups with the UAC or whatever it is (i know you can remove it lol) but from the normal user who doesnt use vLite it would be very annoying to have a popup for UAC and then another for DEP, UAC on its own is very annoying, but i just leave DEP by default cos i dont see any advantages lol

Yes when it gets to completing stage mine goes completly bank for ages, but vista is still installing! eventually on the first boot it will load fine. so vista still installs while the screen is blank just wait for it lol

I only got crackling when i used Microsoft Version of my driver, when i downloaded my own driver (AC'97) it worked great

1)i) Why keep english because windows itself is programmed in english (Microsoft who are american so it keeps English US) and the other lanaguages is just for display so the interface can be used around the world but the coding and everything done in the background is still english coding, just the interface (what you see) is different) ii)I think microsoft tend to release beta versions to japanese earlier than the rest of the world or maybe you just forgot to remove it 2)Username is what you see on the login page Fullname is what you see at the top of the start menu Password type is where you type in the password you want for the account in and confirm is just the same as the first box if you dont want a password then select blank password or just leave the password boxes empty, anyone will do. blank password is where you can jsut click the username and it will enter the user account without asking for a password, if there is only one account on the computer then it will automatically log into the computer 3) Computer Name - Name of the computer, used mainly for networking to find your other computers on your network Full Name - Enter your name Organisation - name of your company i.e. Microsoft, i usually just put Home Workgroup - this is the name of your network, a good way of describing it is a folder(Workgroup) with files in it(each file is a computer), if you have a workgroup then you cannot join a domain at the same time so domain is disabled, so dont use domain. if you leave any of these blank it will just ask you for the answer during the install so you do not need to answer them all The 'Fullname' and 'Organisation' is shown on the system properties tab (right click on my computer and select properties)

the whole point of this forum is for people to ask for help, not everyone who uses this program is an expert n you cant expect someone to know how to fully use the program if they have hardly used it before.

upload your preset and your last session_U please, make sure you remove the productkey before you upload it

i think you should have a txt file in the I386 folder which nlite detects and stops them from using a newer nlite version on a source which has been used by an older version, if that makes sense. might remove quite abit of bugs too, who knows. anyways back on topic, ill look online for a solution

nope hardly did any tweaks n havent touched gpedit onthis install

When ever i go to tools > internet options it says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect onthis computer. Please contact you system administrator". But... when i try and access it any other way i.e. Control panel, it works fine :/ Fresh install so nothing on it except office 2003 and net framework 3, not spyware, etc.. on it

Completed install on my computer (not using virtual software) working fine, very stable so far , one bad point is when i have IE open then go to tools> internet options it says i dont have permissions but if i access internet options via control panel it works fine :/ n wanna try get rid of the DCOM error too, but yes fully working EDIT: DCOM error fixed
