I'm sorry it doesnt work for you. I've done litterally 100's of vmware installs, and i find the 1024x768 a bit annoying and turn it down to 800x600 on 1st boot. maybe if you explained yourself in depth, i might be able to assist you where you are going wrong. shark

Just remember that OemPnPDriversPath must lead to the drivers INF file. I've experienced problems when the OemPnPDriversPath actual paths gets to deep, so now i just lump all the drivers into a single folder called drivers. Luckily for me, none of my drivers have conflicting filenames. shark

This little package i put together will allow you to record MSN Messenger streaming video on the fly. I used autoit3 to create the installer. An icon for the program is placed in the Start Menu under Applications. This program uses 2 freeware utilities. 1st program / 2nd program These 2 programs can be fully uninstalled thru add/remove programs. On my personal computer this installs troublefree. On several testbench computers, it has an error on install but everything works fine after a reboot. The program autostarts itself on bootup and places an icon in the system tray. It begins to record upon connection of a cam to you in MSN Messenger. When saving the captured video you must choose an apropriate compressor such as Divx or Xvid. Get it here(932kb) shark

hehe, my 5.5 installer is stripped down also. 22.4 meg ok, i have way to much time on my hands, I went and played around with the vmware install reducing it to windows english only. fully functional, 13.5 meg - lol shark

@kartel, i'd be careful too, except for a few things, I have been around these forums for almost 2yrs and have made over 300 posts, If i was trying to hack you i doubt i'd leave such a trail, and had been exposed long ago. 2ndly, the uninstall feature is fully functional, and will remove the app completely including the registry entries. shark

I went that extra step, and edited the WINNT32.MSI from Windows XP Pro SP2 for you. I have no idea if this file is different in XP home. The attached file also contains an UPGRADE.EXE with goes in the root of the CD. Executing UPGRADE.EXE automatically starts the upgrade proccess without any further prompts for input. Of course, for all this to work properly, UNATTEND.TXT in the I386 dir needs to contain the proper format and CD KEY for your version of windows. This is different from the way its listed in WINNT.SIF [userData] ProductKey = xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx shark XPCD.7z

Sorry, but you 100% incorrect Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is NOT backwards compatible. IT DOES NOT overwite or update the 1.1 installation. You will need BOTH until such time that 2.x is updated with backwards compatibility. shark
