I wasnt aware of this problem. I didnt specifically remove the help files. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I'll look into this and hopefully release updated files soon.shark
-
I'm sorry you dont like that filename. At least they are still available. All filenames on my site currently end in a '1' , i did it to break hotlinks. having them all offline wouldn't be nice. shark
-
Do you mean a link like the one in my signature does not help!? No, i mean other site administrators posting links directly to the files from thier sites. shark
-
Thank you for reminding me. This has been requested many times, I just never got around to it. Since we're on the topic of my repository, PLEASE DO NOT HOTLINK to the the files offered. MSFN users have kindly donated thier bandwidth to keep my repository's active. Hotlinking the files will only mean the end of the repository's, and this great resource. I wish to continue offering this service to the MSFN community. Please respect my request and direct your users to the repository instead of using direct links. Site updated. shark

coucou, are you able to confirm the following? If anyone is using this BETA package to install onto a system other than English, I'd appreciate it if you would confirm or deny the above claim. shark
-
I'm guessing you have trouble with English. Hopefully a Spanish user can explain to you that Adobe has not released a v8 in Spanish therefore i cannot create a Lite version yet either. shark
-
abracadabra, let there be spanish! *poof* spanish version falls from the sky and lands on your lap. shark

[Release] Adobe Shockwave Player 11.0.0.465
Shark007 replied to Shark007's topic in Application Installs
I never thought of it before, but yeah, you can easily follow the proceedure I used to create your own Win2k compatible installer. Download my Flash Installer and use WinRAR to extract the files. You will need these 3 files for the installer: Flash9b.ocx - FlashUtil9b.exe - swflash.inf Place the 2 W95INF files into your system32 directory. I'm going to assume your version of this builtin software is similar to mine. Go to the run... box on the start menu and type; Iexpress click next click next Package title: Flash click next click next click next Add: browse to and select the 3 files, choose open click next Install Program: click the down pointing tringle and select swflash.inf Post Install Command: <None> click next Select [x]Hidden click next click next Package Name and Options: This is going to be the name of your newly created installer, Browse to a save location, and give it a name select [x] Hide Extracting Progress Animation from User click next select [x] No restart click next select [x] Don't save click next click next And your done, test it, if it works, please share a link to the file. I'll add meta data with a flashtype icon and post it on my repository. shark -
Warning you not to post URL's to known warez sites has nothing to do with suspicion. Provide a URL to Sun, and i will download and consider the update. Its simply following the rules. shark

For an official explanation of versioning #'s used by sun java, please visit this page. shark

Sorry, i am not Vid0 and my installation is quite different. I'm sure he/she will eventually release a version for you to use since that is what you prefer. Currently I have no knowledge of 708a, and will only look into it if it is for a language other than english, and v8 is not available in the given language. shark
-
I think that was a beta, leading to this final release. I really dont know. I am not willing to compromise my system by taking the chance of downloading from such a source. If you can provide a URL that isnt on a warez site, example: www.java.com, I'll certainly look into it. shark

[Release] Adobe Shockwave Player 11.0.0.465
Shark007 replied to Shark007's topic in Application Installs
That installer is NOT Windows 2000 compatible. sorry. I will look into compatibility, if i can modify it for you, i will PM you. [EDIT] PM sent. shark -
For exe's I use the universal extractor offered in the stickies above. I then modify files to my liking, and repackage with whatever format best fits the situation. The only FREE MSI editor i know of is ORCA. You can download orca from my repository. Installshield offers trial versions on thier editors and studio packages, this is worth looking into. I am not sure what WISE offers because i own an old version of thier studio package and have never looked into updating it because of price. Luckily, my employer(s) supply licensing to me for whatever i need to perform work for them. Please dont ask who employs me - I will ignore the request to avoid conflict of interest issues. shark

You may try THIS posting which contains a stripped down version of Adobe Reader (aprox 11 MB). If that does not meet your needs you may use the original downloaded installer with these switches for a FULL installation; *.exe /sAll /rs another hint in finding available switches to use is to run this command; *.exe /? With adobe reader 8 and the above command, the following image is displyed to the user shark

My computer has an FX5200. I have never seen a stipulation separating DirectX 9 from 9c on any product, ever. There was no 'force' used. aero glass was enabled by default upon installing Vista. shark

What jagged edges? (insert evil laughter here) To share this one with others, I'll explain: When I posted v8 on my repository, the icon image i used was extremely poor. Dumpy hotlinked that image when making the above posting. I replaced the poor image on my repository with a higher resolution image, which subsequently changed the image in Dumpy's post. shark
