[Release] SPTD driver v1.42 - x86 and x64
Shark007 replied to Shark007's topic in Application Installs
Thanks for the headsup, and the link. I have no use for this myself, so i probably would not have found it on my own. I realize many people do have a need/use for it though. updated to v1.35 on November 1, 2006. shark -
Updated the BETA to v8.1.0106 - get the editable installer from my Repository. Please check the MD5 because I updated several times working on adding a cmdline to the registry run section to remove the sqm files littering the root directory. Although the files do get created, they will be removed on each reboot. For those wanting a link to Microsoft to get the original english file - URL shark

It's also one of my favorites. I wish the supplied installer supported unattended installation though. shark

Since i know a that few media guru's frequent this section of MSFN, I thought i'd bump this thread an ask that you revisit my codec package. Recent changes have reduced the overall size by more than 25% without losing functionality. I'm mostly looking for input in reducing it even further and if any of you have suggestions of useless content, i'd like to hear about it. Thanks again for taking the time to look at it ... shark

On a clean install, i do not have links to IE, OE or WMP. I want these links available without needing to go to Set Programs Access and Defaults I'm seeking a solution to this. I want Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and Windows Media Player accessable by default. shark
Oh thanx, but can you teach how you made the association trick?!
It is no trick. It is a well documented feature. Provide a proper path and use mplayerc.exe /regvid. One note about using my installer, if you are changing the installation path, you must also change the path in the vbs file to reflect the changes to get the shortcut properly created in the quicklaunch. If you're still having problems I'm willing to modify my installer to meet your specific needs. Just PM me where you want it installed and what you want associated [video/audio]. Also include what shortcut(s) you'd prefer. I'll reply to the PM with a download url. I'll use WinRAR so you can easily replace the ini file with your own just in case you havent seen the light and begun to use my codec package too. shark
nothing worked
There is an unattended installer on my repository of MPC. It is specific to my liking. It is a WinRAR archive making it easy for you to manipulate the install commands. You can change the install directory etc, hope it solves your issues. shark

I've searched but all i can find on this topic is to remove the shortcut. Does anyone have a reg tweak/cmd file or other method that will set this to Microsoft by default so that Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Windows Media Player are accessable by default without user interaction? shark

About Installing Multiplu Extensions Unattently with Firefox 2.0
Shark007 replied to gugutz's topic in Application Installs
I have no idea what the 'official' way to do this is, but here is what i do, and it works with 1.5.0.7 and 2.0 RC3. There is an example of this at the bottom of my repository. Install all the addons/extensions you like, configure firefox as you like, install bookmarks as you like. When completed, go into the %appdata% folder and make a self extracting archive of the 'mozilla' folder found there, having it self extract to %appdata%. Works for me, hope it works for you too. To discover exactly where your %appdata% folder is type this in a cmd window: cd %appdata% The above command works in Vista also, sure makes finding it easier. Another quick note about 2.0; The switch -ms or /S will install it silently from svcpack but it does not ceate a quicklaunch shortcut. shark -
Lost Soul, my research finds this statement... Hope this assists you shark

[Release] Adobe Shockwave Player 11.0.0.465
Shark007 replied to Shark007's topic in Application Installs
I'm sorry, but this isnt going to happen. I suggest you contact Adobe Technical Support. The main reason it failed is that my installer is based on an MSI which i created. Win98SE doesnt support MSI installers natively. Are you aware M$ doesn't even support WindowsXP SP1 anymore? shark -

[Re-Release] Media Center Edition Winntbbu
Shark007 replied to zedox's topic in Setup Billboard Screens for Windows
excellent work. Thanks for sharing shark -
on my repository is an MPC addon package that does just that. since version 4.1, you can choose to Modify the pack with the icon provided, and select to remove the MP3 plugins (as you suggested) They are so small. it means nothing to have them there offering support to those needing it because there is a lot of this content on the internet. glad you're still checking it out shark

There is also a THREAD on RyanVM's forums of this same topic. Although not resolved yet, just thought i'd point you there for more information. I don't use nLite, and also have this problem. Currently i'm thinking IE7 is causing it. Are you using IE7 ? shark

The Vista Codec Package offered here works well with Vista (x64 versions also) decoding ALL formats you throw at it. shark
