EDITED : Okay ! I was tired yestarday lool ... no more problem with hotfixes ... 873339 is always needed .. I don't know why my first test is failed ... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm only with this note ... IncroyableHULK has checked WindowsUpdate with a disc with /integrate: method of 873339 so it's okay now ... For me, it's original disc (just WMP10 integrated), I don't understand too ! I will try tomorrow on another clean windows xp ... I have a mistake surely but where, I don't now for the moment ... even I recheck more than twice ! -

Sonic replied to Coolsights2000's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
... 5s (auto translate to my native language included) after I read the link posted by BoardBabe ... I can say : The .NET FrameWork 2.0 isn't an update of .NET FrameWork 1.1 SP1. These two versions must be installed. -

-
hum, very strange ! and I suppose these files are present in i386 folder too ... if they aren't modify, one solution : Rebuild all, steps by steps If they have edited/hacked, try an util same as modifype to correct crc checksum ... Good luck!

@chriskoivu: Sometime XP ask the CD to install optionals components or drivers not present in the installed windows, okay ? and a popup is display to ask "insert CD .... x:\i386" Si when we change the SetupSourcePath I think XP will ask for a CD but with path x:\SETUP\XP\Pro\i386 (form guide example) ... IMHO, I think we must re-set SetupSourcePath to x:\i386 no ? The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SourcePath= is set to what value for persons use a multi dvd ?

Hi all, I'm trying my multi boot cd ... and works fine but today I try it onto an ASUS K8V-MX SE board (all in one motherboard ...) and bios say: Error to boot on cd (approximative message ...) With a regular one unattented windows xp setup, no problems ... Anyone know that ? Diskmenu (nu2.nu website) is better compatible ?
-
Quick question : The profiles modes works fine now ?
-
Those files are listed in your TxtSetup.sif too ?
-

-
you can login with other accounts ? if yes, type 'net user Administrator "newpassword" ' in cmd ...

Sonic replied to Incroyable HULK's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
@pmcx9 & SwedenXP : Why not read the first post ?! There are 33 critical hotfixes at this time ... For the .cmd code use this method : cd /d "%~dp0" echo ... Installation ... for %%a in (*.exe) do ( Start /wait "" %%a /quiet /norestart ) exit and put all hotfixes in same folder as the .cmd ... Goodbye. -

If I remember you can't backup your activation after SP1 service pack ... -
Why note use Send function instead ControlClick ? Just use Send("!s") where ! is ALT keyboard button and s is for "Suivant" button (because French but for english is N for next ... and i for Install ..) In fact replace letter by underlined letter in setup ... All works fine here ... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&sho...ndpost&p=413641

Okay, I'm stupid !!! I have changed just 3 times the I386 word in SetupLdr.bin ... because I have search for \I386 ... and one has not the first \ ... finally it's works now ! another question: When we change the i386 source path ... when XP ask the cd to allow install windows components ... it will search the x:\i386 or the setup source patch like x:\setup\xp\professionnal (example from the guide) ?

Hi all, I'm testing the multi boot solution I have followed these steps : 1) winnt32.exe /noreboot To get boot folder First boot folder "AUTO" (for unattented setup) 2) Deleted Winnt.sif & Migrate.inf & Bootsect.dat 3) Make a second exact copy boot folder (for attented setup ...) called NORM 4) Edited TxtSetup.sif (no changes because my setup file are at \i386) 5) Edited SetupLdr.bin : AUTO: Change I386 to AUTO, 4x NORM: Chane I386 to NORM, 4x 6) Edited boots sectors : AUTO.dat to point to boot folder "AUTO" NORM.dat to point to boot folder "NORM" 7) Integration of CDShell .. I have make my cdshell.ini ... Works great to boot Memtest & Dos image Boot on each windows setup but I have an error about TxtSetup.sif .. Status 18 See pict attach ... Anyone can help me ? edit: Added my folder tree ... Is it normal TxtSetup.sif is present in i386 folder too (in setup folder) ? it's unncessary no ?
-
Because it's system's folder ... My Documents & My Mucic & My Videos can't re-customized ... You can try direct in the desktop.ini with changing values .. Goodbye.
-
The /noreboot works only with the web installer if I remember ... No method to reduce the setup ? few cabs arn't necassery ...
-
Just to fix my supposition, WatchDriverSigningPolicy.exe is just present to skip the non-signed drivers, ok ? if I have all whql drivers, it's not necessary ?
-
what about when just open \\Two ? You see empty ? or you have an error ?

The value is Start_LargeIcons=1, but it's deleted after it set ! I don't know why ... I don't understand the system for the classic start menu ... By the way we can see that : [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StartMenu\StartMenu\SmallIcons] "Type"="checkbox" "Text"="@shell32.dll,-30477" "HKeyRoot"=dword:80000001 "RegPath"="Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\Advanced" "ValueName"="Start_LargeIcons" "CheckedValue"=dword:00000000 "UncheckedValue"=dword:00000001 "DefaultValue"=dword:00000001 "HelpID"="windows.hlp#6010" But modify/create the first key doesn't work and modify last key too ... Good luck , I can't help you ...
