I'm a bit of a "youngster" who enjoys using old tech and learning how to develop apps with Windows XP support using the Code::Blocks 17.12 IDE and its bundled MinGW compiler. (It's sometimes a good thing to be able to keep old machines to test the functionality and compatibility of an app with older hardware and operating systems hehe!) You have no idea how large of a project it is to migrate a 20 year old forum full of custom code to a different forum software.

Thanks for your reply and hints, @jumper! Yesteday, I checked all prefs related to memory management and performance. And there are a lot. After investigating them, I adjusted my settings, and now New Moon 28 behaves better than before. When starting the browser under same condition as before, the palemoon.exe process decreases its RAM usage from 184 MB to 139 MB. And after surfing some sites and closing their tabs, my automatic memory minimization in the background is now able to release more memory than before. But of course, that doesn’t solve the fundamental problem with browsers that run in single-process mode. But it’s a significant improvement nonetheless. My user.js is now totally optimised for my old P4 processor. Regarding your suggestion, I don't think setting browser.cache.memory to false is a good idea. My IDE hard disk is too slow for that. Although my RAM is SD-RAM, it is much faster.

You don't "need" that tool. All it does is create ONE FILE in your profile directory and Supermium looks for that file. It is called "uao" without any dot-extension. Basically follows this format:

I never implied you're stupid, I was just trying to help, since it's a very common error. But your decision to run a third party installer by "bizzibob" in admin mode doesn't look good, trust me. Especially in admin mode.

But, if you already use this feature, why does the Min2Tray icon bother you then? Hide it! You can access it by clicking the arrow at any time.

BTW, you need it to change the settings of Min2Tray, maintain the Minimized at startup list or the Bosskey list, and modify the short cuts. But you can hide it and access it using WindowsXP's native feature.

What about using Windows XP's native feature to hide inactive or unwanted icons? I described it in my documentation. Especially, because of @Dave-H!

@mina7601! As my beta tester, what do you think about the implementation of Min2Tray in my program package? Do you like it? Does the additional systray icon bother you? Do you use or like the global feature to minimize most of all windows to the systray by right-clicking the close button?
