  1. WinNTSetup - a simple but powerful universal Windows Installer Features: Install (unattend) Windows 2k/XP/20??/Vista/7/8.x/10/11 x86/x64/arm64 Practically runs even on the most minimalistic WinPE selectable drive letter for the new Windows installation Fully automated with save/load setting in ini file and various command line options Install Windows also if nlite/vlite has remove winnt32.exe/setup.exe Integrate Drivers: normal PNP and Textmode Drivers Patch uxtheme to allow unsigned Themes Some common registry tweaks and *.reg file import DISM APPX removal, feature enable/disable Simple VHD creation and Installation Support "Windows to Go" for Windows 7 and later installs Supports WimBoot and CompactOS option for Windows 7 and later Supports all current WIM files: WIM/SWM/ESD and ISO files WinCapture - capture a Windows installation to WIM or ESD file MinWin - simple trimming WIM in memory before apply WinCopy - copy an existing Windows installation to another partition Offline Hotfix uninstall Offline password reset Not Supported: - No Windows embedded version (this includes WinFLP) - No upgrades of existing installations About driver installation: Every driver added in NT6.x windows will be added to the driver store. So it's not recommended to add countless driver, but rather more really required ones. NT5.x massstorage driver integration is possible thanks to Mr dUSHA powerful MSSTMake.exe tool To the Unattend option: It's possible to use an unattend.xml to run the Setup unattended. But as the actual WinPE Setup Phase isn't effective in that way of install, all Winpe related settings inside the unattend.xml won't be applied. Ini config file It's possible to save all GUI-settings to a ini file: push Ctrl + S to save all settings to an ini. push Ctrl + L to load all settings from an ini. A WinNTSetup.ini file in the same dir as the app itself will be loaded automatically at startup. It also can be selected via command line: WinNTSetup.exe /cfg:"C:\mysettings.ini" If you want to modify ini settings yourself, click-click has made a nice PDF for it. For advanced users there are also hidden settings described in the included WinNTSetup.ini.txt Command line: - Press F1 to get list of all options To install Windows in a VHD file: - requires Windows 7 as OS and Windows 7 Ultimate, Enterprise or Server 2008 R2 as Source - create a partitioned VHD and assign a drive letter (push Ctrl + Shift + V to use build in diskpart wrapper for this) - select the VHD drive as installation drive (make sure you boot drive ist a active primary partition on a physical disk) If you get an Antivirus warning from your AV software, please report it to them as a false positive and let them check it. Current Version: 5.4.1 Download: Mega - MediaFire

  2. This is not a problem (only) with legacy browsers. It is also related to the use of tweaks that reduce the ID'ing of one's browsing behavior, even in the newest versions of FF and derivatives. I haven't used legacy browsers (other than icecat, if you can call that legacy) for over six months. And yet, I get annoying cloudfare BS all the time. I blame those who use cloudfare, or similar s*** to "secure" their sites. Do your homework. Make safe your castle on your own. Do not rent knights for hire to do so.

  3. I'm glad you like my article. Creating it and making the HTTPSProxies more future-proof was a pleasure for me as a die-hard fan of Windows XP.

  4. You can find the download link for the CAupdater in my main article ProxHTTPSProxy and HTTPSProxy in Windows XP for future use in the section 11.2.4. Downloads related to Root Certificate Updates.

  5. There is no such issue in, for example, Serpent 52 (2025-04-03) on my Windows XP computer. Did you try it in a brand new and clean profile without any modifications? FYI, you generally should only post issues confirmed in such a profile.

  6. Why don't you post problems with New Moon and Serpent in @roytam1's thread? It doesn't really make sense to open a new thread for this. You are also much more likely to get an answer there.

  7. Go get some rest! Find a nice, quiet place. I now rest too much, so I login here from time to time from my iPad.

  8. Probably because you added the switch after the switches' end. (on the screenshot). BTW, the order matters, at first I thought it was a placebo, but no,

  9. Oh, don't worry, no hurry to reply. There's a war against VPN going on, Reddit banned VPN, as well as Instagram and all similar. What are we even talking about?! They all want your phone number. Internet privacy is no more.

  10. No, nothing else runs, as soon as I boot up, it has a load of 3%, if I boot into Safe Mode, no load observed. DWM? Tried non-Aero custom them (to exclude Aero as the culprit), but all the same, No such on the same PC with Vista. Further tests are only possible when (if) I return. Thanks. You have a 700 series card, do you get the same with 7? Mine is GTX Titan (first issue Jan. 2013)

  11. As I already wrote here, I'm on vacation, no desktop PC around, besides - you mustn't compare on Windows 10, I wrote that, too. Only those OS that don't have the new memory functioning are relevant,

  12. As "downstream", i.e. @roytam1, does not intend to solve this problem in Serpent as he already stated, you will inevitably have to wait until "upstream", i.e. @basilisk-dev, offers a fix. Or, you can do what I always do when a page in New Moon 28 doesn't work on Windows XP. Try the site in question under Mypal 68, and if that doesn't help, under a Chromium Win XP port like 360Chrome or Thorium! BTW, you simply cannot expect that everything you want to call up in a browser will work in Serpent. This will never be the case.
