  1. What I did, I manually searched for instances of webstore that include working links with analytics/reporting. Then damaged the links. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/ 666ps://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/

  2. From what I see, it's just an imported icon from resources.pak. Why? Because I blocked the internet. It can't fetch anything.

  3. Thank you for the attention, sorry, I'll not go offtopic. I'm a new member, I obvioulsy don't know how everything works here, but I find it odd why would you want me to, at the same time implying @UCyborg's posts are off-topic. I will post my findings with XP. when I'm finished with them, don't worry. Again, thank you for the attention! I read through this thread and became a huge fan of@AstroSkipper , for his hard work and findings. I saw numerous times you zealously suggest a very dangerous software named "Kaspersky". I fail to get why. Why would you want to harm the others? Isn't it against the rules to advise harmful soft, when it's publicly known, declared by the US officials, and explained to you personally multiple times. And again, posting about Kaspersky is also indeed offtopic, since it's been removed by the OP, due to the discovered infection risks and harm it brings. https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2019-8286

  6. Silence as usual. I interpret it as the only solution being using bloated ChromeZilla.

  7. Yep, it's rather versatile, enjoy!

  8. Why? I already told, it didn't help to get rid of "Hosted Data", but I only get the icon in my browser data.

  9. We don't allow members to delete their accounts themselves because doing that would probably destroy all the forum content associated with the account (as being banned does, of course). This would probably make a nonsense of any threads which the user had contributed to, and we would potentially lose useful information from the forum.

  10. Oh yeah, the standard changes almost every month, and they also say "enabling both Kyber and ML-KEM simultaneously (e.g., as an interim phase until Kyber768 is completely removed) would mean the client sends an additional 2,432 bytes (1,216 for each plus 32 bytes for a fallback X25519 keyshare)." https://www.netmeister.org/blog/tls-hybrid-kex.html

  11. On the other hand, I remember I spent a lot of time porting Opera on 110, just to discover it became obsolete in a matter of months, Any browser these days is a waste of time. xD

  12. Supermium doesn't update that frequently. Probably makes sense to apply there, too. It's already many versions behind.

  13. Probably just easier to edit out all googleapis.

  14. Where? I remember Dixel's oldish version didn't have that cookie, too. I already edited out all webstore links and analytics. Still have "App data" in Supermium/Thorium.

  15. Tommy would probably want to still not disclose his real location. I mean, he was doing it for twenty or so years on the forum, I'm sure there was a reason. Probably. he was stalked or something like that. I suggest we stop discussing his location.

  16. Why nor 121? In 122 you can't disable client hints.

  17. Tommy now also shown as a Canadian. The previous location was showing as USA. https://msfn.org/board/profile/279129-tommy/ Probably, the forced flags update just grabbed the real location IP? Not the one members choose.

  18. Today, I have found a way to toggle all my CSS stylesheets in the chrome folder without restarting the browser by a mighty user script. So, no need anymore to use the Disable Transitions extension. From now on, I'll toggle all my CSS files via this script.

  19. In the case of New Moon 28, you are right, but Mypal 68 and Thorium have not been updated since the bookmark was saved. By the way, in the CSS code you previously posted as a fix, only the "initial" keyword is present. The "initial" CSS keyword applies the initial (or default) value of a property to an element. Nothing more. To stop animations or transitions, there is actually the need of the "none" CSS keyword.

  20. Thanks for your suggestion! I'll try it out later on my Windows XP computer. Since Stylus no longer works in Mypal 68, and Stylish is no longer installed in New Moon 28, I will try to inject the code into the eBay pages via the userContent.css file. No success. This does not do anything. The issue doesn't seem to be related to animations and transitions. Only when blocking ebayimg.map.fastly.net in uBO, the CPU utilisation becomes normal again. But then the page looks unusable like that:

  21. Thanks for this nice statement! And thanks for your detailed report! I asked you if you'd use the IPv6 protocol because old firewalls like Sygate or old versions of ZoneAlarm might lack of this feature. But the IPv4 protocol is no problem for them, of course. Are you still receiving most recent definition updates dated of July 2023? As far as I know, Malwarebytes stopped rolling out those updates for all versions below 3. Please be so kind and check again the date and version of your last definition updates! I tried the version 1.75.0.1300 months ago, and it didn't work for me.

  22. Thanks for reporting! And no problem! There was no hurry. I'm afraid I can't forget that easily. I can remember very well. This antivirus feature, no one wanted to have seriously. So you still satisfied with this version in 2023, and it works as it should? Do you use the IPv6 protocol?

  23. Thanks for reporting here! Glad to hear ClamWin is still working. I use it in an old Windows ME partition which I haven't booted for a long time. This partition only exists for historical reasons. But thanks again!

  24. Yep! But there were definition update problems in the past. And the programme itself doesn't seem to be regularly updated anymore. The last ClamWin version 0.103.2.1 is from June 2021, unfortunately.

  25. Yep! Using the hosts file instead of a good firewall does not make any sense and is counterproductive.
    1 point
  26. Right! I definitely can confirm that. Surfing the web with IE 6, malicious windows were popping up left and right. All became better when Firefox appeared and the first content blocker extensions. I started to use Firefox with extensions from the very first. And I also think that software got more resilient over the years in general. Yep! I think so, too. Although there are a lot of things I do manually, it does not make sense to re-invent the wheels.

  27. Subject: ZoneAlarm Here is my assessment on the firewall solution ZoneAlarm I wrote in another thread in June of 2022: Nevertheless, I reserve the right to decide whether or not to write an article about ZoneAlarm. At the moment, it is on my internal list of security programmes. Maybe, someone who is still using ZoneAlarm on Windows XP can post their experiences here. The more, the better! @Monroe Are you still using ZoneAlarm on Windows XP? AstroSkipper

  28. Misspelling doesn't matter at all and was not the reason I had to laugh. It was the zoological classification of this firewall. Personally, I found it funny. And a bit of humour definitely can't hurt in this thread. In any case, thanks for your interest and support!
