  1. It had been confirmed by an Intel Employee. https://community.intel.com/t5/Graphics/No-Intel-HD-Graphics-620-Driver-for-Windows-8-1/td-p/322591

  2. The driver Intel HD Graphics 620 for windows7/ 8.1 is available officialy; you can download it at the following link: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26404/Intel-Graphics-Driver-15-45-?product=96551

  3. Same applies to the extension Speed Dial 0.9.6.18. It makes the internal session manager unusable in New Moon 28. Even the Session Manager extension can no longer help. So, it seems that the changes to the browser code are sending further, old but well-known extensions into retirement for good. The Tab Utilities, the Speed Dial and partly the Session Manager extension are no longer fully compatible with New Moon 28 (and also most probably with Pale Moon).

  4. I use console extensively, hence the on-topic question I asked, I don't want to read A4 size spammy sheets written in poor English, you want to bring fights over and over again, I'm not interested in that. I'm one of the most polite people. And since you acknowledged you use simple apps, you're just a casual user, so there was nothing to "discredit", to begin with. I'm not sorry, I took the opinion of a PhD holder over yours. As for the other user, I assume you meant jaclaz? I know jaclaz for a long time, not only from this forum. Please stop your miserable attempts to create hostility between us. There's none! jaclaz likes when people confirm their words with hard proof, I respect him for that. He already explained everything he meant, thank you, jaclaz! jaclaz, I'm sorry I couldn't reply, got distracted with work. In a wonderful country, where I live, It's absolutely fine to have a second opinion of two doctors, despite both having PhD,. there's nothing "discrediting" in that. Or maybe you meant @AstroSkipper, who also wrote about this? @AstroSkipper,do you feel somehow "discredited" by this link? Please tell. https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-batch-change-file-extensions-in-windows/f1b4219c-f2fe-4f25-83de-55ce8e7a71f8

  5. I literally wrote: I have doubts, no need to activate your other senses, I, of course, could simply forget, and I have no shame in it, I don't use XP daily, but what does it have to do with "pain" and "fear", unless imagining me in trouble makes you feel better. If so, please go on, however, interesting would be to know what you think about the on-topic subject, as a long time WinXP diehard. Did you have that function already, or you applied the registry hack that brings it to windows XP SP3? As for your worries about my personal life, I'd better be served in a nice restaurant near my house, with a nice Dutch dish, instead of your word salad, so please, stick to technical information only.

  7. Reading all this, it seems that Malwarebytes will indeed stop supporting Windows XP and Vista very soon, unfortunately. Read these sources: https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/295844-legacy-3512522-sudden-red-triangle-your-updates-are-not-current/#comment-1558895 https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/296406-windows-xp-does-not-have-lifetime-support/#comment-1561182 https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/144824-malwarebytes-commits-to-lifetime-support-for-xp-users/ Anyway! No good news!

  8. Hello, I want to recreate the Microsoft Windows Update v3/v4/v5 sites in local with all the elements. I know the Wayback Machine Downloader to do this but I can't find any pages of this site on web.archive.org. So, can you help me doing that project? Note: this is a public project, anyone can participate, but pls, don't share other Windows Update sites than v3, v4, v5 or v6.

  9. It took me some time to figure out how this works. You need to completely uncheck Combine taskbar buttons for middle-click close to work. Silly me, but the difference between unchecking and selecting Never in the dropdown is not very clear. Thanks @Tihiy , awesome work!

  10. Don't post if you don't care, it has nothing to do with anything you wrote. It's just common sense, not everyone can visit the site daily like you do every day, several times per day. Keeping the screens for one month, at least, it's more appropriate and makes sense. You again over-exaggerate about "decades".

  11. Why should I feel discredited? Such renaming by using the console is elementary and old practice. I already did it that way in the good old DOS days. But if batch renaming other parts of files, I always use the multi-rename tool of Total Commander.

  12. In any case, save this driver, you might need it in the future, it's a very rare one for Kaby!

  16. You're right! Now that you've pointed it out, I see it too. Ransomware protection is activated, and this is actually not possible natively under Windows XP and Vista. Good watch out!

  17. My question on Malwarebytes' forum: AdvancedSetup's direct reply: Maybe, this Root Admin is not able to answer a question accordingly and correctly. It is possible he always gives the same reply "support of version 3.5.1 will end soon". Whatever support he is referring to. I can't really assess his skills. Seems to me more of a robot.

  18. My Windows XP machine works perfectly. There is nothing to give up. If Malwarebytes stops providing definition updates for their version 3.5.1.2522, I have enough other options which of course are not comparable to those in Windows 7 and up. But my options are sufficient for the foreseeable future. And I will share the knowledge about these options here, of course.

  19. I usually consider such discussion as useless, too. But I am really an old customer of Malwarebytes and I don't have to put up with such insolence. In their forum, the moderators only allow answers or questions that conform to their views, including the thread title. You can't edit it and you can't edit your own posts either. A true junk forum. You're absolutely right! We have to and we will help each other as usual.

  20. I booted into my second Windows XP partition one hour ago. The last version of my definitions was 1.0.29432. So for now, updating of definitions is working. BTW, the topic in Malwarebytes forum will be closed soon. I am no longer interested to talk to such moderators as Porthos or AdvancedSetup. I have left an appropriate closing comment after all these kind words.

  21. The support for Malwarebytes Premium 3.5.1.2522 has already been dropped for years. No new program updates! As far as I correctly understood and I asked there directly, they want to drop the definition updates (what you call pattern updates) for this version. Look in "my" thread there whatever my thread means in that forum! I think my thread is more their thread!

  22. This method is also based on my discovery (from my ported Opera 96 on Chrome 110), and I'm against sharing it in public, I already told @win32 about it. Why ? Simply because you all could easily end up with nothing when the evil developers read this topic. Just wait for new kernel to be ready, you will all get it then ! Be patient . Besides, you ask about win 8.1, which is not being discussed here.

  23. Isn't this version an early stage alpha ? No wonder it crashes then, like another user wrote.
