You're probably remembering JustOff's "Modify HTTP Response," which is how I initially solved the issue; but I think your user script is a better solution for me since, e.g., ViolentMonkey will run in multiprocess mode, while JustOff's extension won't. BTW has anyone yet noticed similar CSS breakage on GitHub? M$ seems determined to break any browser that won't run on Win 10+. Edit: Well, it works in a clean profile.... Good. Yep, multi-process mode is the reason for this, it splits FF into multiple processes so that FF performs faster by making it use more memory. It's has been enabled by default since FF 54.

@Cixert! You are really helpful here. Thank you for your contributions! IObit Malware Fighter, another candidate which is already on my list. Unfortunately, I have had the same unpleasant experience as you. IObit tries to push their Advanced Systemcare product on every user. This is totally annoying. I have also noticed the increased consumption of resources. And when you uninstall software from IObit, there is always something left over. Then it's a matter of searching and manual cleaning.. On the plus side, IObit Malware Fighter is still compatible with Windows XP, for whatever that's worth. Unfortunately, in Windows XP we can't be very picky and have to consider every option, even those we would normally discard. At the moment, we still have other options, fortunately.

As you can see, SUPERAntiSpyware Professional X seems to be abandoned just recently, in March of 2023. That's very regrettable, of course! But the updating of definitions still works, of course!

Let me give you the perspective from the actual developer (source: I work at the company that does specialized hardware and software, the software controls the hardware, the user interfaces with the software via the web interface). It goes like this, the developer visits https://caniuse.com/ to consult about the feature he'd like to use to achieve some result quicker and easier and preferably his code easier to read/maintain/whatever. The website says most current browsers support this feature. The feature is used to implement whatever he was going to implement. Use some old browser on an antiquated OS? Too bad, too sad, you're a minority not worth their time.

All more recent browsers show these behaviour. If you have a lot of RAM, it should be not a problem at all although I don't like such consumption. My Windows XP Professional computer is very low on resources. Only 1.5 GB RAM. One of the reasons I appreciate @roytam1's browser so much. On my machine, they are running in single-process mode, consuming RAM as they actually should do. Additionally, I installed Mypal 68 from the very first and also configured it working in single-process mode. It works great, and its RAM usage is low.

It seems to be a reliable, stable, lightweight operating system. It runs smoothly. In fact, it boots faster than our dear old XP. I've slapped it around a bit and it holds up very well to the abuse. Firefox is still compatible, although the latest version does not support some extensions that I use and miss very much. Another problem is that it consumes a lot of memory... a lot. Having 4 or 5 tabs open means more than 2gb of ram gone. I've taken the opportunity to test the latest version of MyPal -thanks Feodor- and it seems to work very well. At memory level it seems similar and I still could not test if the extensions I use are compatible, but the good news is that Whatsapp Web works. Still... I could not get used to Windows 7. It offers some compatibility but several key programs are no longer compatible. So for now I'm sticking with XP.

Unfortunately you cannot create Amperes without using Watts, if we go for: 30A@3.3V 30A@5V 40A@12V those imply 30*3.3+30*5+40*12=99+150+480=729 Watts, so a 750 W would be more suitable, but newer 750W ones generally speaking don't have as well more juice on the 3.3V and 5V than the mentioned 20-25A, so if the requirements are confirmed, OP has no other option than finding an used PSU , it seems like the extra Wattage on recent PSU's goes all on the 12 V rail. All that said does not mean I refresh my HDDs on a regular base. Sorry, I'm afraid I am too lazy to do that with all my HDDs. But from a physical or technical point of view, refreshing of disks makes perfect sense and can make its contribution as a data preservation strategy. Additionally, checking an HDD in form of data refreshing triggers the controller of such a disk to renew its S.M.A.R.T. values and to decide for example whether pending sectors have to be rated as defective or not. I already did that successfully by using Spinrite in the past. After performing such checks or refreshes, there is a positive side-effect. You will definitely know much more about the health of your disks and the condition of the data on it, including up-to-date S.M.A.R.T. values. AstroSkipper

Good to hear! But we have the theoretical knowledge to understand the instability of magnetic data. In such a case, one can certainly do without such data, even if it would be very welcome. And all this is not a question of belief. It is rather a question of reason. BTW, no one has claimed that data refreshing is a panacea for preserving magnetic information on an HDD. Lubricants drying out is related to the data prevention loss. One would have to turn on the HDD once in a while, from time to time. By doing this you prevent it from being stuck.

If you meant "low end" as in cards of the 9xx line which aren't considered "high-end" or "enthusiast," though, doesn't that counteract saying the driver will work problem free with the 900 series? Check Wikipedia's article on the 900 series. There, the GTX 950 and 960 are listed as "mid-range," GTX 970 and 980 as "high-end," and GTX 980 Ti and TITAN X as "enthusiast."
