  1. I'm recreating the old IE5.5 support download site as the IE6 support site for as many languages as possible. Why do I do this? Micro$oft removed the servers for these browsers, even though they don't serve their purpose today they are still necessary components of Windows 9x/NT/2000 and XP. The intention is to facilitate the user of the Legacy version of Windows who needs to update Internet Explorer and has an Internet connection on his Windows 9x/NT/2000 machine, as well as for those who do not have installations in English and want to have it in their respective language. This site works in IE5.01 and later completely at the design level, older browsers like IE4 or Netscape only work for download. IE5.5; http://ie55browserforbetter.tk At the moment it is only available for English, Spanish, French, German, Korean and Simplified Chinese. More languages will be added in the future.

  2. Hello, i've been recently messing with a Z690 motherboard and an Intel Alder Lake CPU Managed to get Windows 7 installed, but it was tricky, decided to try an updated Windows 7 ISO with drivers (USB3, NVMe... etc) slipstreamed and tried out, found out Intel USB3 got updated enough that current driver infs lacked the IDs for the new chipsets and didn't recorgnize it, so i had to install using from another PC with modern Intel AHCI, then carry the drive over the system after the first stage of setup. I ended forcing one of the AMD USB3 drivers with success on the system. Test machine specifications: Intel Core i7 12700K 32 GB DDR4 3200 MSI Z690-A PRO DDR4 (Budget Z690 with decent VRM, DDR4 and PS2 port) GTX 1060 3 GB 120 GB SSD (Kingston SSDNow V300) What i could get working: SATA/AHCI HDA Audio Most chipset stuff USB3 (After forcing AMD XHCI Driver), although there are issues What didn't work: Onboard LAN (unsupported Intel controller) IGP (that is expected though) Few unknown devices Untested: NVMe Known issues: USB stops working after resuming from suspend (at least with AMDXHCI driver) Single thread workloads may not allocatte in the right cores USB3 setup, first attempt: Setup after doing 1st stage setup and moving the SSD to the ADL system: After finishing setup: End results: WEI score:

  3. You can try upgrading via the second method. However, I recently have had some problems doing so when trying to upgrade Windows 10 to 11 with the "appraisesres.dll" file. It was probably because I used 21H2, so I think you might have to use the 20H2 file. I'll test and see if that's the problem. If the second method doesn't work for you, then yes. You can use a program such as Windows Easy Transfer from Windows 7 or Windows 8.0 to backup and restore files. There's another way to upgrade to a new version of Windows 11 (and many more actually, I just haven't added them yet), which is basically using the Windows 10 1507 or 1511 setup with the Windows 11 install.wim file, but it just ends in a boot loop, and you have to change the registry values in HKLM\Setup to 0 and the Cmdline to "Cmd.exe". I might try to find a workaround for this, but that's the farthest I've gotten so far.

  4. For 376.11 x86, the version check can be bypassed by finding the line: 53 FF D6 E8 86 97 4E FF 84 C0 74 0A B8 BB 00 00 Change it to this: 53 FF D6 E8 86 97 4E FF EB 0C 74 0A B8 BB 00 00 376.53 is very similar: 53 FF D6 E8 82 55 4E FF 84 C0 74 0A B8 BB 00 00 to 53 FF D6 E8 82 55 4E FF EB 0C 74 0A B8 BB 00 00

  5. Behold...https://libredd.it/...the alternative open-source Reddit front-end, JavaScript is only needed for audio in videos - can be turned on in the settings. SURPRISE! It doesn't look right. Edit: Oh, it was already posted about, including the workaround.

  7. Wondering - is there any plan to add a Windows 11-style taskbar theme/msstyle by default? At the moment, the taskbar can be skinned to look like Windows 7, 8 and 10 - it seems a bit strange that there's no option to make it appear like Windows 11, given that the program targets Win11.

Starting with SDK 10.14 I believe, many functions have main thread checks, including setView: and update. So we now move the code in the updateGLContext method into doDrawRect which runs on the main thread. (7224a1790) - Issue #1905 - Part 3a - Resign python binary ad-hoc since install_name_tool invalidates code signature. The code signature is invalidated on Intel as well, but on ARM the binary fails to run with an invalid code signature error. (9f3376e56) - Issue #1905 - Part 3b - Remove iOS support from old-configure. iOS is not really a viable target and Apple Silicon Macs report the same core system. (a2f6708c4) - Issue #1905 - Part 3c - Remove iOS from the rest of the configure system. (02ceb3e1a) - Issue #1905 - Part 3d - Report GNU AS when the system "as" is LLVM-as. LLVM as is generally compatible with GNU, this should allow ICU to build on ARM Macs. (ccdf07735) - Issue #1905 - Part 3e - Fix NSPR build on ARM. The dynamic loader had been falling through to the ancient PowerPC code without __aarch64__ #ifdef (e73d4de0b) - Issue #1905 - Part 3f - Collection of fixes connecting ARM support to the Mac build. Also update ARM XPT code to add Mac/Apple support. (e55ae571d) - Issue #1905 - Part 3g - Final set of changes connecting ARM64 support for Mac. Back out some of the xptcstubs changes that are not viable for our codebase. (be240b340) - Issue #1905 - Part 3h - Fix breakages on other platforms. Mac Intel broke due to incorrect FFI target_dir for Intel. Linux and possibly other platforms use a secondary aclocal.m4 that still referenced ios.m4. (5bf1ed595) - Issue #1905 - Part 3i - Rename the ARM64 assembly files to .S. Necessary because they now need to be preprocessed. (06aa3c8c3) - Issue #1905 - Part 3j - Rename the ARM64 assembly files to .S. Missed the moz.build file in the last commit. (076a0eb27) - Issue #1905 - Part 3k - Separate the GNU and LLVM-as tests. While we should be able to test these together, I don't want to risk breakages on different *nixes. (163bce2e8) - Issue #1914 - Implement white-space: break-spaces (afbfbcb1e) - Issue #1909 - Ensure UpdateChecker and UpdateParser can handle empty manifest URLs. (41b9919e7) No official Pale-Moon changes picked since my last build. No official Basilisk changes picked since my last build. 11. Yes, supposedly there is - https://www.thewindowsclub.com/usb-port-remains-active-even-after-using-safely-remove-hardware The official article regarding this appears to have been removed. It's because these LED backlights burn you retina. Try to find a CCFL monitor. Or purchase blue light blocking eyeglasses , at least. Regarding blue light, there's also f.lux and similar software.

  12. So, back in Windows 8's days that people hates it but I saw some 8's leftover is SkyDrive. After 1 year of M$ build 8.1, I upgraded to 8.1 and I see SkyDrive being OneDrive and what happened to SkyDrive? Is it end of support? Or M$ try to replace SkyDrive to OneDrive?
