  1. We've all seen lists of services and advice on which to disable, etc., but something I don't see discussed much is the list of Scheduled Tasks. In the Task Scheduler there is a huge tree of hundreds of tasks that Microsoft has preset to do various things. Depending on your personal needs for Windows 10, many can be disabled. Lo and behold, doing so makes your system more controllable, and less apt to override changes you've made. It only makes sense. This is my list of scheduled tasks, from my Win 10 test system which completely shuns cloud integration and Apps entirely. It's set up for pure traditional desktop operation and it really works well: You can retrieve your list of scheduled tasks with the command: SCHTASKS /Query /FO CSV -Noel

  2. One thing to note about the name suggestions that have been made, and which are in the poll threads. I did a search on google (without quotes) for the new names to see how many results would appear. For some, there are millions of results for the same terms, some get the millions of results due to google changing the search. When naming a new product, it is always best to research the names being used to make sure there are a low amount of false positive hits, or none if possible. That is the reason I will never vote for "Whistler" because of that term's tie with previous versions of Windows. And that is also why I pick the "New Moon" name to stay as is, because there is precedent and active search results for this exact product using that name.

  3. It is well possible that the copy/paste (or even the original on MSFN due to a number of board software updates) is no good. Read this: jaclaz

  4. I added external viewers using extension "Open With" by Geoff Lankow, which can be found in JustOff's extensions archive "CAA". This basic function should really be part of the base package, like external editors in graphics programs. Viewing video in the browser is an awful experience, as is digging through about:config. Another problem I encountered is a global ban (!) on Cloud Flare (many sites) based on the browser's "signature" and a failed "integrity check". I've customized it a bit for a few days, but have done nothing that would incur a ban. Anybody else getting this problem? I was getting this problem before adding any extensions, and noticed it again because the add-ons were hosted on CF. My IP is not banned, only the signature of New Moon. https://i.imgur.com/b53Ai0U.png Another question: Can the extended validation field in the URL bar be diasabled to extend the available space and avoid the text jumping when edited? I've succeeded removing the padlock symbol.

  5. I think all variations of a single base browser ought to use the same name (Like PM 27 vs PM 28 and Serpent 52 vs Serpent 55). You might start by opening just two polls, one for PM and one for Serpent. Those are the main RT browsers, and most suggestions refer to them only. And to help you some more, I withdraw all my suggestions, except Peach Moonshine and Snake Oil.
