Jeremy Posted August 9, 2006 Posted August 9, 2006 [x] nonePFW are nonsense. So you don't use a software or hardware firewall?
freexwolf Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 outpost is the best i usebut now i'm trying jetico 2 see how good it's
Code-E Posted August 18, 2006 Posted August 18, 2006 When I use a firewall I use Lavasoft firewall. It's basically the same thing as outpost except for it doesn't integrate spyware protection just has compatibility with ad-aware.
Aegis Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I use this :http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...sa/default.mspx
Pete_ Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 None of those, F-secure, and its said that it has the fastest reply time to viruses, for example comparatively to Norton...
MGadAllah Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 I think we may keep posting for ever because we have different needs, so what ever work for you may not work for me so nothing best and nothing worest, otherwise all these companies must be closed its doors.I think it is just trial and errors game Thanks
Jeremy Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 None of those, F-secure, and its said that it has the fastest reply time to viruses, for example comparatively to Norton... Tried F-Secure in VMware, 17 processes and 5 with the application "unloaded" via the tray icon... that's ridiculous.
DigeratiPrime Posted August 26, 2006 Posted August 26, 2006 17 processes for a single program!? how'd you achieve that? I'd like to see a screenshot Although If I remember correctly Norton I.S. had 12 and BitDefender had 8, so I guess its possible...

I'll make some screenshots tonight.
DigeratiPrime Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 please show the "MemUsage" and "VM Size" in Taskmanager too.
Jeremy Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 (edited) please show the "MemUsage" and "VM Size" in Taskmanager too. ~50MBs in total. I know I have 2GB of RAM but Kaspersky and NOD32 don't take up nearly that much, and very few processes. Edited August 27, 2006 by Jeremy
