Edit: Why is KB929120 not included in KB928388? Maybe because they released it later...?
Very subtle, SM... :D

Which IE6 updates should be removed when slipstreaming IE7?

edit: actually, which updates should be removed, IE6 or not, when slipstreaming IE7 and wmp11?

bye!

@jvidal: I have this list somewhere. I'll go dig it up in a few seconds...stay tuned. :)

Edit: Here you go!

Not for IE7:

KB922760 (previous Cumulative IE5/6 update)

KB925454 (current Cumulative IE5/6 update)

KB925486 (Vulnerability in Vector Markup Language)

Superseded by IE7:

Windows Script 5.6

KB917344 for previous Windows Script 5.6

KB924496 (Vulnerability in Windows Object Packager)

BIG THANK YOU!

I've just tried hfslip for XP SP2 with directx-dec and noticed only the last d3dx_32.dll file was being copied to SOURCESS.

Do we still need all older cabs in HFCABS ?

That's a very strange issue. I have these in SOURCESS\I386 after using HFSLIP 1.2.1:

D3D8.DL_ (part of XP)

d3d9.dl_ (part of XP)

d3dx10.dl_

d3dx9_24.dl_

d3dx9_25.dl_

d3dx9_26.dl_

d3dx9_27.dl_

d3dx9_28.dl_

d3dx9_29.dl_

d3dx9_30.dl_

d3dx9_31.dl_

d3dx9_32.dl_

They're also in TXTSETUP.SIF.

Do you mind checking again in both locations?

d3drm.dll = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0
d3dx9_32.dll = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0
d3dx10.dll = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0
d3dxof.dll = 1,,,,,,,2,0,0
dakbc.dll = 2,,,,,,,,3,3,da.Kbc

No other d3dx*. :no:

I'm clueless on this one. I can't duplicate it and I have no idea what could cause this. The only thing I changed in that section of HFSLIP was to find cabs with "d3dx" in their name instead of "d3dx9" in order to support the new d3dx10 file.

And all d3dx9 files are present if you run an older version of HFSLIP again?

I tried again and checked whether the files were present after HFSLIP and before nlite. And yes they are.

I can also confirm nlite removed them. Now, the question is why ?
