Change the text to INCLUDE or EXCLUDE depending on whether you want a feature installed or not.

First make sure that hidden files are shown

Control Panel-->Folder Options-->View-->Show hidden files and folders.

Next start the Nero 7 Premium Installation wizard.

Now locate the following folder

Enter %Temp% in the Explorer address bar (Thanks to BoardBabe for pointing this out )

Copy the following 2 files: 16e16cf.msi and 16e16do.mst to the Nero 7 Premium folder that also contains Cab,Redist,setup folders and a number of 1###.mst files.

(NOTE: the filenames in red will be generated at random and will be different from that shown here).

For the serial number add this to the registry first

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Installation\Families\Nero 7\Info]

Do you talk about icons @ the head of Nero Burning Rom? If yes, I got the same problem, but you can customize the iconbar. Now I just want to know where Nero saves these settings, so I can apply them unattendedly. Atm, I still use version 6.6.0.16, until there is a way to select the components. The method posted above did not work. All components were installed.

Get a PROPER version of Nero 7, Your version is a BETA / one of the first versions..

Your SetupX.exe version is v1.0.0.2 while mine is v1.0.0.3.

Same for the next programs:

- Nero Home v1.0.0.0 -> v1.0.0.1

- Nero PhotoSnap Image Editor v1.2.0.6 -> v1.2.0.7

- Nero ShowTime v2.1.0.4 -> v2.1.0.5

When i try to run SetupX.exe with the /qn switch, the whole Nero suite gets installed silently. So it ignores the conf.txt. So, if you want to install the whole suite, you can use /qn switch. But it could happen, that the computer reboots after setup then.

The /noreboot works only with the web installer if I remember ...

This is a correct behaviour unfortunately, this config file is only for creating custom installation and not for selecting particular features.

Finally I managed to extract correct command line so I can launch installation from original MSI, I can create custom MST file and it works fine with /qb options installing only what I want, but it doesn't with /qn, no icons, no user name/serial from mst. Reboot could be suppresed by /norestart option. Will try again later.

In case somebody interesting you can launch original nero.msi with the following:
