Tried the MSI just now and thanks a lot for all your work on the unattended the fact that it now installs without the activation screen appearing is enough for me and i hope this makes your work that little bit nicer! :D

Thanks Everyone!

Looks interesting couldnt you just create a couple of variables, place the desired data such as activation code, serial etc and use the script to activate the software using the code instead of using that generator which in theory would give you endless posibilities.

Sorry not that familiar with AutoIt so if my suggestion is so noobie  then just disregard it ;)

About the activation, we have to keep track of the file that is created when we activate.  It can be a file(s), registry entry(s), or both.  Just like the Adobe Acrobat Professional.

here is the activation file located for every user of your pc. its a .dat file.

Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe Systems\Product licenses

Sweet. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Gonna have to try copying over this file along with the registry changes and see what happens.

Would anyone care to do a simple guide for this PhotoshopCS2 app to assist those of us without expert or professional knowledge to install it? Something that's been tested preferably. As I have tried all the suggested methods, apart from the autoit script by Blinkdt as thats for a CD install running from an autorun.inf POST install and nothing to do with installing from RunOnceEx.cmd or batch_file.cmd as most people use as part of their Unattended CD - and as I cant use Autoit, therefore cant adapt it.

What we need is a guide to install CS2 silently (or quietly), get rid of the activation nag screen, and register it all done during RunOnceEx (or Batch_file.cmd).

At the moment we've got 1]editing abcopy.inf, 2]using modified msi, 3]using mst files, 4]autoIT scripts, 5]keygenerators, 6]copying .dat files and godknows what else. People are also posting in this thread about Illustrator, too!

I would love to do a guide if I can get the darn thing working! :realmad:

Btw, the postings about Illustrator are ok since both programs use the same method for activation, store their .dat files in the same location, and make very similar registry changes. So from what I can tell, a guide for one is a guide for both, if anyone ever creates one.
