  2. Wrong forum anyway... But why the hell would you want to do a full UNATTENDED install - and then want to MANUALLY install your user-name? See this page here http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/7/ for creating a winnt.sif file and add your user name within it.
  3. Just to give you a start... Winrar http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=312486 Copernic Agent6 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...indpost&p=70785 Strange how I found them then
  4. You can either integrate in which case setup will not ask for floppy - or dont integrate - in which case it will, and then after driver install from floppy you can carry on unattended. Up to you. You might also like to check out Bashrat's driver packs. Excellent. Here... http://www.btsunattended.net/Projects/DriverPacks/ and this post here... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=207257
  5. If you be a bit more specific someone may be able to help. Do you mean it wont boot?

  8. Not true, you have to edit DOSNET.INF and TXTSETUP.SIF see here for manual integration instructions with pictures... http://ryanvm.msfn.org/manual.html or for integrating with nLite see here... http://ryanvm.msfn.org/nlite.html Although you will NOT be able to use nLite to integrate the v122 to 122b pack. All you've got to do though is RIGHT click on it - hold mouse button down - drag it onto the I386 folder and select>Extract here. Then double click on __integrate.exe. Simple. Good luck with your UA CD and please don't be afraid to ask. There are many helpful posters here.
  9. re: Hotfixes Please forget nLite and also Astalavista pack as many of the hotfixes in it have now been superceded. EDIT Believe Asta pack now revised. See this post http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=342999 1]Copy and paste your XPSP2 cd to C:\XPCD 2]Manually integrate Ryan VM pack v122 http://ryanvm.msfn.org 3]Since then he has done an update http://www.ryanvm.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=242 to include all hotfixes released on June 14th - so manually integrate this, too. If you're really struggling with editing and saving text files then perhaps you need to really go back to basics. Although nLite will do it for you, you won't learn anything and using it also adds a further factor if something goes wrong.
  10. Yes it does - I have made a 7z switchless EN version, tested and installs fine. If anyone wants a copy PM me with your email addy.
  11. It worked for Windows 2000 long before XP was released, so the simple answer is "yes". If you ARE going to use 2000 - although I cant think why(?) - make sure you slipstream SP4 into it. What vers of Win2000 do you have? If its SP0 or SP1 then just slip SP4 straight into it, there's no need to apply previous packs first. Then check this site here for the Win2000SP4 deployment tools http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/downl...deploytools.asp ...and check the sticky at the top of the forum to see which extra updates need to be applied, too. Here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=31886 ...and check the caveat with regards to hotfixes being reliant on certain other components being part of your install i.e. updates assume IE 6 & WMP 9 & DirectX 9.0c & MSN Messenger 7 are to be installed. EDIT This has just been released today too! Rollup update pack for Win2000SP4: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&DisplayLang=en
  12. @erik Hmmmmmmm... Thanks, I wont have time to test till at least this time tomorrow so was wondering if brosy had actually tested himself. I will post back tomorrow any findings, but by then someone else may have done so anyway. Might have a play with the extracted files, too as 99% of them are lang folders/files, so will try and just utilize the En parts to try a minimal install. (May or may not work knowing MS). EDIT Mind you we are drifting from the orig thread as that was re: integration. But looks like its not worth the effort.
  13. Have you tested this? What switches did you use? If you extract the downloaded file it expands from 4.5mb to 41mb! And still no .msi inside!
  14. Welcome to the forums! Click here first All the answers Just to give you a start Visio viewer has been covered here: Visio viewer ...then if no success ask for help in the correct forum = Apps. Applications Forum
  15. Go here and download Ryan's switchless installer. i.e. no switches req! Ryans Files Very latest Sun Java app.
  16. REG ADD %KEY%\008 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\Install\jre503.exe /f Look at the end of your syntanx. Where's the quotation mark?
  17. Read this topic here... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=17940 Find out what switches it uses and have a trial, then post back any findings negative or positive here. If its an <unknown installer> then you will have to right click on it and select extract from the drop-down menu and try to extract all files to a temp dir to see if there's an .msi inside it that can be used. If so see this link: http://unattended.msfn.org/intermediate/apps/wininstall.htm If all this produces no results then try running the setup.exe from the command prompt... Start>Run>whatever.exe /? >enter Start>Run>whatever.exe /help >enter This might give you a list of available parameters. If all this fails to produce switches for you then you are going to have to learn how to use AutoIT or beg for a script from one of the AutoIt experts or repack the installer yourself.

  19. Are you trying to make a 7z switchless installer with an sfx module? Or and self-extracting 7z archive? Dont quite undertand your req? If its the former then... I used to have probs making silent installers using the last betaversion of 7zip as the inc module was garbage. Thankfully Ryan VM posted his own personal hacked sfx module in a post for us and since using his I have had a 100% success rate. RyanVM's customised sfx module Orig thread here, Ryan's post is #54 http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...8&hl=SFX+MODULE If its the latter then there's no need to hack the module - just create the self-extractor and use the /S switch to silently install it.

  21. You should forget all that messing around. Integrate SP2 into your Windows source, manually (or with nLite if you must) Then integrate RyanVM's Post sp2 pack v1.2.2 manually (or with nLite if you must)from here http://ryanvm.msfn.org/ It covers all that and more.
  22. A search for... nti+cd+maker seartching within "titles only" brings up this result... http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...hl=nti+cd+maker Have you never heard of Mr Boole?
  23. You can do, but they need registering as well or windows won't see them. One solution is Fontinst.exe http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...20entry265420 I personally copy them over - like you - then open the c:\windows\fonts folder with a simple cmd and then taskkill it. This works too.
  24. Yep, its free too! And when its installed you can drag and drop .wma audio files into a NEW>AUDIO CD project (just like you do with mp3's) to make an audio-cd project. Excellent pictures to accompany guide. Well done and welcome back Asta.
  25. Nice clear guide but noticed you forgot the .wma plugin Download latest v20933 from here Download link and install with the following syntax in your RunOnceEx.cmd REG ADD %KEY%\026 /VE /D "Nero wma Plugin" /f REG ADD %KEY%\026 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\Install\Apps\Nero\WMAPlugin20933.exe /SILENT /NOREBOOT" /f
