ZileXa Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 @titou2k what is the difference between your Real/Quicktime and the Real/Quicktime Alternatives? also between ffdshow and ffdshowlite?
titou2k Posted June 3, 2005 Posted June 3, 2005 @jmbattleyou are right, i need to add:HKCU,Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences\VideoSettings,"EnableDXVA_WMV",0x00010001,"1"@ZileXaReaLite/QtLite is based on Real/Quicktime Alternatives but without MPC and without some files which are not useful for the basic use. Same for ffdshowlite
jmbattle Posted June 4, 2005 Author Posted June 4, 2005 Lovely. I wonder which hardware the acceleration is compatible with - will my aging Radeon 9600 benefit?James
titou2k Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 I see somewhere that acceleration is compatible with Nvidia 6600, 6200 & Ati X700, X800, X850WM10Lite is corrected.
ZileXa Posted June 4, 2005 Posted June 4, 2005 ok thanks for the info. For the TTPack this might help you:http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/contains the Directshow filters for Ogg vorbis and Flac (also Theora and Speex).I tried ffdshowLite, but there is no Configuration anymore! So I can't enable Subtitles (or set 1 folder for all the subtitles) or Postprocessing...at least subtitles are very usefull...
bucketbuster Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 ok thanks for the info. For the TTPack this might help you:http://www.illiminable.com/ogg/contains the Directshow filters for Ogg vorbis and Flac (also Theora and Speex).I tried ffdshowLite, but there is no Configuration anymore! jmbattle Posted June 5, 2005 Author Posted June 5, 2005 You can modify the ffdshow settings by recreating shortcuts originally made by the official ffdshow installer; it is a rundll string if memory serves...James
titou2k Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 Ok Ok Subtitles:But I have a pb. I can't access to ffdshow config . Even if i use official version. It gives me an error. It should be my config.Could you test this.C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe ffdshow.ax,configureIs it working?
Xable Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 yes shortcut works, Video decoder configuration pops up.
titou2k Posted June 5, 2005 Posted June 5, 2005 humm. I wonder why it is not working with my unattended Windows.
Xable Posted June 6, 2005 Posted June 6, 2005 no idea why it won`t work. I`ll attach my link that i know works, ye i know it should`nt work for you a link is a link but it`s worth a try. ffdshow_link.rar
ZileXa Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 (edited) alright I am going to use all your packages now too!Don't like to install unuseful things btw someone posted a while ago that the original codecs (xvid and divx) have better quality then ffdshow... I am not going to test things out (not time at all) since ffdshow gives me superb quality already and with Auto q. control no high cpu usage... Edited June 7, 2005 by ZileXa
OCedHrt Posted June 7, 2005 Posted June 7, 2005 (edited) Has all streaming problems been fixed yet? If not I found out how to restore it . It may defeat the point of WMPLite but I haven't tested it thoroughly, the last step may be unnecessary.unregmp2 /PreInstallunregmp2 /RegUnivunregmp2 /RegExtsrundll32.exe advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection wmp10.infunregmp2 is in the WMP10 installer, but it doesn't come with WMPLite. If anyone wants to try to see which of these steps can be removed... Will test it more when I format my laptop again.Update:Seems like the last step is required, but you can then invoke the DefaultUninstall of wmp10.inf and streaming still works.
