jorsak
Let me add to that Trojan Hunter. It often identifies the .DLL culprit. A lot of the spyware apps remove the effects of the .dll but don't show you the culprit that causes teh problem. Other than that your list is pretty solid. jorsak
hey guys...Don't know if everyone is aware, I just found out, that Spybot seems to have a new version out (1.4RD2). It can be found at:http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.htmlI ran an updated version 1.3 scan, cleaned up junk, ran Ad-aware SE cleaned up a lot more junk, then installed Spybot 1.4 and still found another 17 items. Seems to do well detectign a lot of the toolbar junk.Just thought i'd pass it on.

GeneralMandible
well, your all wrong! MSAS is good, but the spybot and ad-aware(even the pro version) sucks!Try the Xoft, SpyBlaster, Pest patrol, Spysweeper 3.5you get what you pay for if you only want free ones, then.........I don't know what to say to you//SD<{POST_SNAPBACK}> One of these kids is not like the others, One of these kids is doing his own thing.Pest Patrol is good, but it has a lot of false positives. You have to train it not to detect certain things. Spysweeper is really good though...the only one I'd tell people to buy. But if you know what you're doing on the internet, Spybot, Ad-Aware, MSAS with FireFox and antivirus installed along with a good firewall, you won't have a problem. Brando569
the best anti spyware proggy is definately Hitman Pro it includes 10 or so spyware programs and completely automates the scanning process! hit start and let it run for liek a half hour and you should be rid of anything! dont worry because the page is in Dutch, the installer is in English
