Well I dont know exactly if the're worth having, but I suppose they are. I've also read that many of them are useless (or dangerous), but I've find 3 which are the ones I use.

CCleaner and Regseeker (not exactly registry optimizers, but they have these functions). After cleaning the registry, I defragment it with NTREGOPT. Google them if you want more info.

I use TuneUpUtilities Registry Cleaner and CCleaner as well. i have had some problems before with registry cleaners just make sure you look over wahts being deleted before deleting it.

Both Tunup Utilities and CCleaner, in the past year or so i've used them i've never once had to remove something from the "to be deleted list" so you shouldn't have a problem with them.

I've used Registry First Aid to clean up my registry, it also offers to compact the registry as well. It does just what it says and my system is faster after using it, so hey, whatever gets the job done well. :)

I use Fix It Utilities' Reg Fixer feature, Reg First Aid and RegScrub. FIU's also has a Registry Defragmenter which I use every once and a while.
