The /integrate command uses the GDR versions of the files. I use the QFE ones for my pack.  I know I've posted the MS KB article NUMEROUS times before which explains the differences. Heck, I'm pretty sure I have even in this thread.  Do some searching and you'll hopefully find the answer you're looking for.

Something new for Win2K users. This new IE6 update is the first one to use this kind of HF for upgrading OS. Should solve the issues we having with GreenMachine when integrating IE6 HF to W2K RTM + IE6 install from SVCPACK.

KB885250.exe /integrate:D:\XPCD\XP2\ <-- got it!!! remove KB885835.exe prior to installing KB885250.exe

But KB885835 is still needed!

On XP Home Edition, I haven't tried a Pro version yet; if I leave KB885835 in I get a failure error when integrating KB885250

but

If as above I integrate KB885250 first, I end up with an error when I try to integrate KB885835 later

Do I need to add one or both using svcpack.inf, or does this give the same error?

Working Perfectly! Don't bother with all the method suggested, all you have to do is to throw KB885250 & KB867282 in your svcpack folder and then add the line to your svcpack.inf.

well yeah, of course that would work

But at that point, you aren't really doing what /integrate actually does. Instead, you're just doing the svcpack.inf hotfix running method as described in the unattended guide

Halt box mean that you will get a prompt and setup will wait until you click OK

So you have 2 option to get over this update:

1- RegTweak instead of the Hotfixe

2- Make a repackaged version so the halt box won't appear

Just search around, you'll find them easily

how do i repackage KB873374.exe ? KB873374.exe is the GDITOOL.exe i mean too.

kb890830 replaces that version. every month they will come out with a new one. so i won't included it in my slipstreams U.A.
