You want only 20 MB installed? That's too much - make it 7 MB. :P

The way to reduce Nero install-size, by removing unwanted files, and replacing them with dummy (zero byte) files has been discussed some weeks ago.

I already do that - Install only Nero (the CD-burning thing alone, without all the annoying cover-designer, audio editing, etc.) - and its 7 MB only.

this way works for me:

save the cool looking nero icon into a folder in your SFX... in the archive options, it allows you to swap in a different icon. just select the one you saved and you're all set

Anyone know the paramter to redirect the install path for nero?

@durex, have u tried extracting the installation with winrar and use the "/?" switch?

Not that its that big of an issue, but your method of replacing the unneeded files with "empty" ones leaves you with 1KB files. To replace them all so that they are truly "empty" (0KB), use the following syntax:

copy /y NUL "<filename>"

For everyone having problems with Nero Recode's menu, make sure you put in the Nero Digital plug-in. My menu only had three options, until I put this plug-in into the registry. Now I can use Mpeg 4.

Hi,

Suffering from an interesting problem... it is probablt obvious to all of you but it is bugging the hell out of me!

i have silent install set for both Nero 6.6.03 and NeroVision 30114 installers, followed directions which worked great, except for the installation of both on an unattended disk... i end up with one or the other due to the Overwrite=1, anyone got any ideas how i can get them bot installed without one overwriting the other?
