what do these Nvidia tweaks do?? driver helper? whats that?

I am researching Nvidia Nforce2 problems- specifically IDE CD-ROMs being loaded with SCSI drivers!!?? Any help would be appreciated!!

it just overclocks the core clock freq and memory clock freq

if u're having problems its not going to change after adding/changing those...

try a driver update, firmware update, update of anykind

it doesnt overclock anything but unlocks a new panel in forceware controlpanel to overclock gpu und ram

Add detailed information in device manager.

This is much different than show nonpresent devices. Enabling this gives you the details tab as shown in the attached screenshot.

The best thing it adds is the PCI ID string. I was able to "hack" a set of scanner drivers to get them working when Windows said the drivers wouldn't.

I have another registry tweak I am looking for.

I am using windows server 2003 and when it boots, its necessary to manually turn the graphics hardware acceleration to maximum after the first boot. Until this time, control panel will not function and direct X hardware acceleration will not function.

Does anyone know of a tweak to turn hardware acceleration to max?

they're all fine, but the settings behind the first checkbox (see the attached image) are still applied which i dont want. those are the minimize-maximize animations, listbox animations and so on.

so what have the reg-settings above look like for that?

second thing are small icons in explorer/internet explorer. for that i have the following setting in my .reg-file:

this doesnt work, too. any ideas about that? i tried to search the hive files for small icons, found one entry and changed it from 0 to 1 but that had no effect.

these are per user reg's u might want to import them later on the setup...

those settings deserve to be applied at T12 as this is the only chance to apply these settings to the default user account before other accounts are created. with all the other settings it works great
