Gotta agree with you there :rolleyes: ... Although Tails would be more nr. 1 choiche :)

Think about it for a sec, who does all the technical stuff? - Tails! ... Who does all the planning? - Tails! ... Who controls all the heavy machinery? - Tails! ... Who is always a victim of random violence? - Tails! ... So face lets it! ... Tails is superior to Sonic in almost any area you could name! ... Besides, he's cleary the cutest of the two :D

I had to go with PacMan. One of the first video games I ever played. I think PacMan made more of an impact in the gaming world than Sonic (I played Sonic and it was ok). Sonic seemed very similar to all the Mario Brother's games though. I would also mention Q-bert as a good mascot. This should ruffle the Sonic fans' quills. :)
