jaclaz Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Maybe this could be of help:he UXTheme Multi-Patcher v1.5 has been created for Neowin by WindowsX and Vorte[x].It patches the UXTheme.dll for Windows XP/SP1/SP2 Beta and 2003 and allows you to use un-signed custom visual styles. To simply patch the UXTheme.dll file, run the program, it will determine your operating system, then patch the appropriate file and reboot your PC.To un-patch the UXTheme.dll file, run the program again, and it will un-patch the .dll and then reboot your PC.More info and D/L here:http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707http://themes.belchfire.net/index.php?showtopic=8767jaclaz
nolookingca Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 that seems to be for SP2 beta...wonder if it'll work
nolookingca Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Here's a quick patcher to use with build 2180 (RTM). This is tested to work. The uxtheme.dll in here is from another post on MSFN. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. THE AUTHOR (ME) IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES THIS MAY CAUSE.Note: because this is just a self-extracting archive file containing replacer and some other stuff with autorun set, you can just extract it, remove the uxtheme related files and it's the latest beta version of replacer.Download Here
sleepnmojo Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 I haven't seen this anywhere, and no patching tool that I have seen can get this file, so I did this on my own. From KB319740 Windows XP SP2 (2523): At offset (00019A7C) change:
81 EC 88 00 00 00 A1 18
to:
33 F6 8B C6 C9 C2 08 00
