What did I miss?

No clue.

But my take would be this - if an admin deleted something, it was for a reason, and OTHER MEMBERS "regurgitating" deleted content is GROUNDS FOR THEIR "DISAPPEARANCE" as well.

Still the same. But now Search Assist claims it couldn't even find enough "reliable" information to generate an answer for the search for MSFN!

I kind of have to wonder if that even matters !!!

I mean, I didn't become a member here because I *searched for MSFN*.

I just did three different searches for things that I would assume MSFN to be a *RESULT* of that search.

And MSFN *was indeed* FOUND in that type of search.

The emphasis is on "reliable", meaning un-reliable in this case. Search Assist no longer considers the information about MSFN "reliable" to generate results.

This wasn't the case just recently! Is it now clear for thee?

No!  Not really.  But I do not today and have never in the past received those types of results.

Nobody "searches" for MSFN to visit MSFN if they don't already have it bookmarked.

They search for a specific topic and "find" posts here at MSFN.

When I do searches for things that SHOULD find MSFN, they DO find MSFN.

In the end though, NOBODY CARES ANYMORE, this thread is LITERALLY nothing more than you and me.  NOBODY ELSE.

You are completely wrong. MSFN members won't search threads of their forum via Google, of course. But that’s only logical and isn’t the issue at all. The point is that non-members will no longer be able to find content posted on MSFN. MSFN will no longer reach people who are looking for answers via Google. No new visitors, less traffic, and a descent into obscurity for all Google slaves, who, tragically, use nothing else because intellectual laziness has become the norm everywhere.

I agree TODAY.  But this is actually NEW news.  A week ago when I posted that, you **COULD** do a Google search for "MSFN Windows XP" and you **DID** get MSFN results.

That is no longer true.  As you have noted in another thread.  But again, this is NEW news that was not true a week ago.

A week ago, I did a search for "MSFN Start Is Back" and the Google results listed MSFN as the #1 result for that query.

That is not true "today".

This is what I get when I search for the whole domain. The site is now completely shadowbanned!

Google, Bing, and all search engines based on them do not show any real links to MSFN. They removed all relevant links from their index starting from 21.05.2026 with their latest Core Update. Only two major search engines show correct links to MSFN, one is Brave and the other Mojeek. I'm really curious to see what the owner or administrator @xper of MSFN will do about it. :dubbio:

links

When hover over them with cursor, the links look legit, but the results shown in that Alien language. Look at the bottom, please.

If I do a Google site search with msfn.org then I get a bunch of adulterated search results. That is, some (but not all) of the search results appear in the Thai language. Which is interesting because it suggests Google's own web crawler/scraper has been persuaded to read a different web page. However, if I follow one of the links I always arrive in the correct place. I am never redirected.

This is using standard Serpent and quad9 dns (9.9.9.9). I did briefly try Google's dns (8.8.8.8) but it made no difference.

So, the only place I see any evidence of the hack is within Google's search results. I haven't found a way to actually arrive on one of the Thai pages. I haven't even been able to find the domain – so, kind of a useless hack really.

Ben.
