Thank you very much, could you then ask if he makes an Ungoofed version for Windows 7 without SP or any other updates, which would also work on Vista, like v136.

The new build of Firefox 138 now works on Vista too, only the 32 bit version of the browser for now, and it's not guaranteed to work, but it's clear that it's moving in that direction, you just have to wait for the new ungoogled version.

Thank you, the older Ungoofed version 134 (from January or December?) was released today. But it demands KB3080149 for Windows 7 and SP1, those  updates make the overly bright Win7 even brighter, the browser also won't work on Vista, unlike the v136.

Not going to happen.  Sorry, just isn't!  Call it a "personality clash".

But your heart is already with me, it's all what is needed now, all else in due time!

PATIENCE.

I've been patient with Supermium for several years, the result we all know, it went astray. I want this browser to succeed, so you all post you want it to run it on Windows 7 without SP and any other updates, which would also work on Vista, like v136.

EDIT. I forgot you're in the hiding mode on github (only there?).

@D.Draker Installed ungoogled portable version 133 of said developer and KB in question as it seems is not required.

KB3080149 : This package updates the Diagnostics and Telemetry tracking service to existing devices. This service provides benefits from the latest version of Windows to systems that have not yet upgraded. The update also supports applications that are subscribed to Visual Studio Application Insights.

Version 133 runs ok in my system Windows 7 SP1 pro.

THe problem is, youtube videos play for 20s and then go into a never ending buffering business. Official ungoogled suffered from the same symptoms according to some people

in reddit if am not mistaken. I might give version 134 a ride and see what happens.

Cheers

134 ungoogled works and plays youtube videos, of course with an occasional buffering here and there. overall is ok. KB3080149 you can give it a miss.

This is all very interesting, but I explicitly declared, I only need this browser for 7 WITHOUT  the Telemetry tracking Stuff Pack 1 (SP1).

@D.Draker I do not think I made myself clear enough. What I am saying is , I do not have Kb3080149 installed on my computer. Despite the developers requirements ungoogled functions without it, well in my system. Another thing is due to manifest V2 being depricated,  with this particular browser unfortunately you cannot install extensions from  chrome web store. Add to chrome button is grayed out. Unless of course if there is a zip file at the developers github webpage and by switching into developer mode you may do so.

No problems what so ever using supermium.

Cheers

Created an issue, asked if he could make an ungoogled version that works on Vista and 7 without SP1. And 134 is the current version, but 136 is the nightly version, so the version is higher.

The Chrome Web Store grayed-out button is not a product of Manifest V2.  All UNGOOGLED forks intentionally result in a grayed-out button.  INTENTIONALLY.

You will need to install a "get crx" (or similar) from a non-chrome-web-store source then you use that to download the .crx from Chrome Web Store, save to a local folder, then install manually.

The "good" ungoogled-forks will have this flag  --  chrome://flags/#extension-mime-request-handling  which allows you to drag the .crx onto chrome://extensions/

A "not-so-good" ungoogled fork will require you extract then install in Developer Mode.  "Good" ungoogled-forks never require Developer Mode.

Get CRX  ==  https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/45042/

CRX Extractor/Downloader (note: I intentionally use v1.5.7, it WORKS, the newer versions are hit-or-miss, mileage may vary)  ==  https://www.crx4chrome.com/crx/364289/

Many thanks! I'll check it out and get back to you! In contrast to those other *allegedly* English speaking members, you understood what I want very well!

You did make yourself very clear. But you missed several of my posts* and replied harshly, it resulted in the pointless test on Win 7 WITH the Telemetry Stuff Pack 1 (SP1). But we all already knew it would work there, and the developer wrote it officially.

But you have the infamous HUGE Telemetry Stuff Pack 1 (SP1), most likely the evil update is already there.
