Getting "Template forums/front/topics/topic is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme." and can't see any forum thread.

Country flags seem to be gone and some avatars in the forum index view.

It was like that some time ago, a couple of years back (or more). Then got back to normal.

But the avatars were the same,

The flags were a new thing for modern sensibilities. Years ago people wouldn't  have liked their location identified.

I never liked having the flags, but removing them now may be pointless, we all already know where the frequent visitors are from.

There are some users here that don't have flags even when the flag "feature" is working.  I think it's just because they're from a country not included in the "list of flags".

Or they're just ashamed, afraid to show it, not proud of their country. Anyways, it should be a user's personal choice.

There used to be a setting in one's profile to "hide" one's country flag (the default being to display the flag); see this past post of mine ; "Country-flag" related previous thread (now LOCKED) in this forum:

Currently, no flag settings at all inside my profile  ; FWIW, the flag resources are still there in "their place" ; dearest @xper , would it be at all possible to reinstate this MSFN feature, please  (and those members who are secretive can always hide their country of origin) ? ...

Country flags are reason for template errors. Disabled for now. Waiting on developer.

So I gave it some  ; FTR, last night (in my timezone, GMT+0200) flags hadn't yet returned to all "known" places, but as I type this everything looks OK (apart from some members having now changed their previous flag  , e.g. Karla (Sleutel) has now become a Canadian?  ) ...
