It's not that cut-and-dried.

360Chrome v13.5 (and any 13.0 newer than 2206) CRASHES on my XP without the swiftshader .dll's  --  it's one of the biggest reasons I had zero interest in anything beyond 13.0 build 2206 for the longest time.

I do not have any crashes with the swiftshader .dll's included.

Q. E. D.  --  As our friend AstroSkipper would say  :sneaky:

I'm new here. I'm yet to make friends. Looking at the profile of the mentioned member, I'd say he would call your approach unscientific

More likely, highly likely. Did you try to replace them with just empty files ? I don't have this browser, but could you look with Dependency walker ?

Look if it has them in the import directory, I highly doubt that.

Does it matter? :dubbio:It's all loosely related.

I'm not sure what do you mean by loosely related, but let me re-phrase what I meant: what I meant is that you should originally quote NHTPG, since he talked about that swiftshader thingy, not me. I only replied with laughing at the last part of NHTPG's post, which says (Q. E. D.  --  As our friend AstroSkipper would say). That's what I meant.

Sorry if i am considered off-topic in this case, but I was trying to be clear.

OT: temporarily I have the problem with a mouse driver that it crashes. Error message included.
Can fix this problem with a remapping of the DLL?

If so, how should I do it?

It is not related to 360Chrome.

I would try to UNINSTALL your mouse driver and let XP use the "generic" driver instead.

If that solves it, then try DIFFERENT drivers for your mouse.

Newest driver is not always the best driver!

It is an older driver.
The error occurred only after I made the PosReady updates.
And I need this driver because it has certain functions which I need.

I also have a similar error with another program since the PosReady update.
However, this error always occurs when I start a certain function.

I personally avoid "PosReady" updates like a plague of locusts!

Now it's already on there and I can't undo it.
I thought maybe by remapping a DLL the problem can be fixed.

You've admitted you don't even use this browser.  So why even troll the thread?  Most of us know who you are.  I have no need to converse further.

In other news, and to be BACK ON TOPIC without the "sideshow shenanigans" -

I've found a way for the loader to "copy" files.

This is handy on my setup because this enables me to make session-only changes inside one of my extensions.

The ability to "copy" files reverts the extension to my default config before the browsing session.

I'm still experimenting on the timing of the "copy", but in the [Functions] section you will have something like FileCopy=%Profile%\Default\1.txt|%Profile%\Default\2.txt

Where 1.txt is the original file and 2.txt is the copy of 2.txt (edit) 1.txt.

I was going to try it and asked a question. What do you mean who you are ? Who's "us" ? Troll ?!!?!? What do you mean back on topic ?

It was a question about this browser. You seem strange and impolite.
