Ok and so it's not possible to have the original tooltips with the original font (like the screens above) ?

The NoDarkTooltips registry key modifies the tooltips, and they are like this (and default Windows font)

SAB3.7.7.PNG.5320da0bb08db7908e9b340e2726db53.PNG

Without NoDarkTooltips registry key (and darker Windows font) :

withoutkey.PNG.d942f4dec2b47b6d9e9c72f70b829fc3.PNG

Strange that without the registry key the font is darker (dark mode, etc... off)

Thanks for your help

So by default it's the darker Windows font with SAB I guess

Wonder why darkened the Windows font
For better “visibility” ?

Thanks

Hi - Is the StartAllBack developer part of this forum?

If yes - can you improve the Dark theme support to apply to 32 bit apps like WinRAR. I've downloaded other Dark Themes (Full_Dark_v2, After_Dark_CC_v4) that theme all these 32bit apps but have other issues in control panel etc with white areas (see attached) that StartAllBack manages well.

Any chance you can modify your theme and merge the functionality to get the best Dark Theme.?

For consistency with XAML tooltips.

Ok thanks for the explanation
It is therefore not possible to keep the tooltips and the default Windows font (that SAB does not "touch")

NoDarkTooltips does that; font is always changed to system one

Sorry for my English, I didn't understand :blushing:

To summarize,
NoDarkTooltips and value 1, we have the default tooltip font in explorer, but the tooltips (design) in the systray are in "dark" mode, so to speak

Without NoDarkTooltips, we have the tooltips in the sytray by default but the font of the explorer tooltips are darker
As indicated the screens above

We found it odd not being able to have systray tooltips and explorer tooltip font by default of Windows 11
But if SAB can't do otherwise, it doesn't matter :)

I've made the not too difficult decision to drop Open Shell for the start menu and use SAB.  Is there a way to get the start menu flyout menus the same color as the basic start menu?

Have I just missed a setting somewhere?

I agree, SAB does so much more for 11 than Open Shell. I am using SAB on a leaked version of 11 LTSC, which are the only versions of Windows now fit to use.
I have installed SAB 3.7.9 but it still says that it is 3.7.8. Also I have an issue that when I right click file(s) in File Explorer, the whole Windows shell crashes. Has anyone else had this?

A little research later - I get the same colors also, with a few findings.

I get the same colors if I turn off Custom Start Menu Coloring.  I had it on.

I get different colors if Custom Start Menu Coloring is on and set to 100% opacity and either Clear or Blur is selected.

100% opacity and Acrylic seems to work fine.

Yeah, we have 24H2 Iot Ent LTSC 26100.268 on 3 workstations for testing and I agree that it's the only thing fit to use.  Same was true on Win 10 and LTSC on it.

We still run Open Shell Classic Explorer, but only for the network share icon.

Maybe someday SAB will have that option in the Explorer section.  Hint - hint.
