Somewhat similar issue in WinPE with Proper 11 theme. an extra address/nav bar is added to the window with non-functional controls. Win10 ribbon theme works fine. `

Case Posted January 11 Posted January 11 There's another strange issue I have run into with StartAllBack. With many programs that have a menu bar below the titlebar, if you click an empty portion of that menu the titlebar stops reacting until focus is manually changed somewhere else, like you click on an actual menu item or click somewhere outside the program window. Happens for example in Notepad++, Everything (from Voidtools), partially in Sysinternals Process Explorer. Process Explorer is special, it still shows the hover effects, though with a lag, but the buttons don't react.
Case Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Do you have tips how to troubleshoot potential other cause then? Note that the issue doesn't trigger immediately. I keep my machine always on and at some point a misclick lets me see that the glitch is back. At the moment I can't unfortunately do any debugging about it as I just logged out and back in and that seems to clear the issue, at least temporarily. But I had StartAllBack disabled for the last two weeks as a test and during that time I didn't see this glitch at all. But the native taskbar is intolerable.
fzzl Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Ahoy, I've had two minor issues for a few versions now, I believe since the 25H2 shenannigans. the first issue is: the restart button no longer seems to do anything. i have it set as the default button in the start menu. the second issue is: when set to the classic task bar, and turning on auto-hide in the windows taskbar settings, there's a weird issue where the icons flash up mid screen when unhiding the bar, rather than uh, being constrained to the bar. I can get video of that if you like, but i'm hoping it's simple to reproduce. thank you
floki123 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 If you add 20+ applications to the Start Menu, it will fill the entire screen. Why isn't there a scroll bar like there is in All Programs? Icon count does not work with this. Resizing works well only with All Programs, but does not respond well in the Start Menu, adding an extra space for the next program added. Will it be possible to add folders to the Start Menu? Currently, only exe files can be added.
Jd5555555 Posted January 14 Posted January 14 How do you add the Everything Toolbar to StartAllBack? I used to have it loaded but needed to reload everything, and now I can not figure out how to load it as a toolbar. Thanks

SkyySX Posted Thursday at 01:31 PM Posted Thursday at 01:31 PM I have a weird problem, I'm not using "All Programs" all that often so I don't know how long it's going on already but I noticed I can't click it anymore in the Classic Win7 Startmenu. Even if I change it back to XP-style flyouts hovering over it has no reaction. It happens on every skin so it's not a skin problem. I'M on SaB 3.9.20 and Windows 11 25H2 26200.7623.
Tihiy Posted Thursday at 02:29 PM Author Posted Thursday at 02:29 PM (edited) You have disable all programs registry policy, probably set by ExplorerPatcher Edited Thursday at 02:30 PM by Tihiy 1
SkyySX Posted Thursday at 04:00 PM Posted Thursday at 04:00 PM That was it, thank you and sorry to be a bother! I switched back to the Win7 Start Menu from the Win10 Start Menu but forgot to undo some changes it seems.

I have been running with StartAllBack disabled for the last week or so and today the bug reappeared despite that. So you are right. It happens even though Process Explorer shows that the process has nothing but Microsoft's dlls loaded. Sorry for falsely blaming you.
