doctorwizz Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Explorer is crashing since updating to 3.7.11 few days ago. On 23H2 22631.3380 Here is some dumps. Is it SAB causing crashing? https://www.mediafire.com/file/niv56cfbxn5v0ch/dumps.rar/file
Tihiy Posted July 20, 2024 Author Posted July 20, 2024 It's taskbar crashing but no SAB in sight. Ensure you don't run other taskbar enhancements / auto-hide
neongrey Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 I've just installed SAB on a fairly clean install of Windows 11 (recovering from a catastrophic disk failure) and am experiencing an odd issue; with the enhanced classic start menu enabled, I'm unable to unpin items from the start menu. Both the option to unpin from start menu and 'Remove from this list' are available when I right-click on items; if I click either one, nothing happens. If I uninstall the associated program, the pinned item remains on the start menu; the icon just goes blank, and fixes itself if I reinstall the program. If I go to the folder it tells me the shortcut is in, I can delete the shortcut from that folder and it remains pinned. I've been mostly trying this with one particular program that I can easily install and uninstall but I've tried unpinning other pinned items and they similarly won't budge. I can add new pins but they cannot be removed. I have attempted uninstalling SAB, including removing all settings and my registration. When I reinstall and re-enable enhanced classic start, the pinned items are still there. They are not present on the default start menu. This appears to be independent of the 'store and display recently owned programs/items' settings. I'm absolutely tearing my hair out over this.

My advice is stay on 23H2 or use T2. Quick question. Will I have to disable auto updates via the registry? Or will it be one of those ones that sits in the updates waiting for me to allow it? Also, for Tihiy, will you be trying to put the classic menus that microsoft removes into your mod? Or are we going to have to stay on 23H2 forever? 1
yaschir Posted July 24, 2024 Posted July 24, 2024 (edited) Your app is the best classic start menu app. Thank you. Edited July 24, 2024 by yaschir
Onilink Posted July 26, 2024 Posted July 26, 2024 (edited) @Tihiy First off thanks for the awesome program as I been using this for over a year now. I'm posting because recently I purchased an OLED and I decided to start using auto hide taskbar. There appears to be a thicker margin and this can be an issue over time with static lines. I am unsure if there are any fixes to the issue previously mentioned or not. Issue: The taskbar when autohide seems to have a small margin that always sticks out. There will also be a darker thick line on selected apps and the line applies throughout all monitors. The line appears to be on any position top, bottom, left, or right with icons to the left or centered. Disabling the enhanced taskbar will resolve the issue as the default windows version has no issues. Disabling the enhance feature beats the purpose of using this software for me. I had to record with a camera and converted to a .gif Taking a screenshot does not show the line in a screenshot for some reason. I've posted on that thread but now the taskbar on autohide will now open up upon hovering over it on my primary screen. Edit: Temporary fix of using RudeWindowFixer did the job due to Nvidia overlay. Tihiy Posted July 31, 2024 Author Posted July 31, 2024 (edited) StartAllBack 3.8 is a major update with fully recreated taskbar. It will be necessary for August 24H2/23H2 update. It's like 70% new app. It's free update and it's buggy and it's your fault for not testing! Quote New - Shy autohide taskbar perk - Never, hide labels combine button setting - Reorder task thumbnails by drag&drop Improved - Reduced taskbar memory usage, improved responsiveness with async immersive shell startup - Pixel-perfect task icons if possible - All-new animations - Incorporated RudeWindowFixer Removed - Modern jump list with classic taskbar - Pinning to jumplist via drop on taskbar button - Auto-hide taskbar for fullscreen UWP apps Fixed - [23H2 beta] Start menu un/pinning may not work - [24H2] Control Center does not close when clicking outside Edited July 31, 2024 by Tihiy 5
