I think I already said earlier , there are plenty of non-chinese IPs . fastly.org , for example, even http connections to several IPs that marked as scam .

You could be right about that.

But it's pretty much impossible to find all IPs this browser might want to connect to at some point in time.

Nevertheless it's a good start to block all chinese IPs and you can be pretty sure that at least the chinese government will not learn what shoes you buy on Amazon...;)

I use "beta" version , btw. I mean , it is funny how the chinese call the release version of chromium - beta . And you're better off using this "beta" too . Why ? it has less chinese junk stuffed into it. What do you think they do ? Fixing the chrome's engine ? lol

Someone knows what "Level 3 Communications" is ? Chromium browsers love to make these connections . 360 too , of course !

These are quite frequent 8.238.108.1268.238.89.126

Also in this range

8.238.108.0 - 8.238.108.22

/22 Netblock Details - Level 3 Parent, LLC

I use version 13.0.2220.0

It was the most recent version when I downloaded it a few weeks ago.

Now it's 13.0.2250.0 but I don't think I'll update to this version anytime soon.

Can't be much of a difference.

I don't know about Level 3 Communications but I did find that it connects to Level 3 Parent which I've also blocked when I still tried to use the firewall to block the IPs.

I blocked the range of 8.224.0.0 to 8.255.255.255 which might be way too much but I didn't care...

Yes , it can , they just add more and more with each newer release . I'm on the first 13 beta and not going to "upgrade".

Those Level 3 Communications could be your own ISP's DNS ???

Or your bookmarks fetching a favicon ???

Nope , not my ISP . I do not use bookmarks (never). Why ? Because chrome uses them for spying too.

For those interested in trying the beta releases, I've found a Dropbox that contains thirteen beta releases (these are the X-Pen repack versions).

Page that contains the Dropbox = http://effect8.ru/soft/browsers/360-extreme-explorer-portable.html

The actual Dropbox itself = https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1br0hs9ft84gf0v/AADEnsCRUFogCCHFSX8SBkHZa
