phaolo Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 This Asus laptop is not mine, but it has a strange UI. Is this Desktop type normal for Win10? All programs are basically hidden, and I can only use\add apps. Same for the application bar and the Start Menu. Some common links have also been moved in a submenu accessible from an icon at the top. Also, sometimes, due to various errors, a normal desktop appears instead of this O_o WTF?
greenhillmaniac Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 Yes, I think it's using Tablet Mode, though I may be wrong... Go to the Settings App and see if Tablet Mode is enabled.
innuendo33 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) It is obvioulsy on tablet mode See the hamburger menu at top and bottom left.... Edited April 14, 2016 by innuendo33
phaolo Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Thank you for the replies, I'll check the setting next time. Btw, Win10 applied that Tablet Mode automatically after the upgrade..
Tripredacus Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 What size screen is on that notebook? I wonder if it is a small screen, if it switched to that mode because of it. I've been testing a notebook with a 14" screen and the default Windows view is too big for it. For example, if you open Settings, the button items are cut off and you get a scroll bar.
