I've installed Winamp attended and enabled all features except the agent. As the error signature says, it's a problem with "gen_ml.dll".

uh oh Mac!

See what happens when you give into people before it's ready? :)

I'll test it when i get home, I may even make a patch file for it, if I'm lazy enough.

Alright, Alanoll!

Did Mac give into you, too? :)

Well, did it last a while, or gave errors on the first use? :D

i should point it, I didn't install everything. It's probally a Library file or Video or something. One of the things I DIDN'T install

EDIT: It's added by Library.

Alittle more trying down.....

It's recent.dat and recent.idx files located in Winamp\Plugins\ml

here is a patch file to apply......

you could either call it directly after the winamp.msi with the same switches

Umm, "either".. ok so whats the "or" method ?

and with the same switches u mean Xintex=1 etc etc ... ? and directly meand we directly run this app and nothing popups on the screen and winamp lives, right ?

What r the changes in this patch, wouldnt it do if we'd just delete the gen_ml.dll ?

BYe,

Jazz

gen_ml.dll will disable the Media Library.

by same switchs i meant /qn

and by direclty after, when you have Winamp install using the MSI from the first post, install the patch afterwards.

The patch removes the offending file that are the actual cause, without removing functionality.
