Guest
MS is such a ninny. They are removing XP downloads. I was just reviewing the link for TweakUI and found that they had removed it (404). You can check out the following page and see that quite a few downloads have been removed.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-xpWon't be long before things like bulletins disappear. PROBLEMCHYLD
If we don't get them now, they will be lost forever. They are forcing everyone to upgrade.

They are forcing everyone to upgrade.Someone should start downloading XP/2003 updates and back them up somewhere like I've been doing with Win2k related files. PROBLEMCHYLD
We probably need to get the Win7 updates too. This is M$ new tactic to force their upgrades.
xpclient
I downloaded the entire MS download center from 1995 to 2006 some years back. Still have to download from 2006 to current.
tomasz86
If someone really wants to download the files then you should do it RIGHT NOW. M$ has been removing files very quickly. Some links which I used a few days ago no longer work today...
HarryTri
Microsoft has officially stated that they will support Windows XP SP3 (with updates through Windows Update) until April 2014, so they can't remove the relevant updates, can they? Still the updates are already so many that they should release one more service pack (which ofcourse isn't going to happen).
dencorso
Wayback Machine to save the day again! Go for it, we fully well know it won't last! TweakUI 2.10, for XP SP1-SP3 and 2k3TweakUI 2.00, for XP without any SP (this one is still hosted at MS).

tomasz86
I downloaded the entire MS download center from 1995 to 2006 some years back. Still have to download from 2006 to current. Did you download only ENU files or does your archive cover all languages?I have found an EXTREMELY easy way to download single updates in all supported languages.1) Create a text file, ex. "download.txt" and put this in it:http://www.microsoft.com/zh-cn/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/zh-tw/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/cs-cz/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/da-dk/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/nl-nl/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/fi-fi/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/fr-fr/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/el-gr/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/hu-hu/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/it-it/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/ja-jp/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/ko-kr/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/nb-no/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/pl-pl/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/pt-br/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/pt-pt/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/ru-ru/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/es-es/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/sv-se/download/confirmation.aspx?id=http://www.microsoft.com/tr-tr/download/confirmation.aspx?id=2) Create a CMD file, ex. "download.cmd" and put this in it:SET KBNUM=9110SET BROWSERPATH=D:\Programy\Firefox\Firefox.exeFOR /F "tokens=* delims=" %%I IN (download.txt) DO "%BROWSERPATH%" %%I%KBNUM%You should change the KBNUM and BROWSERPATH values according to the downloaded update and the browser you're using.3) Run the script (download.cmd). It will automatically open the links in the browser and you will be able to easily download all of them.4) In order to get the KBNUM you just need to open the main page of each update, ex. for KB952954 it is:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=9110In this case the number will be "9110".Limitations: ARA, HEB and JPN-NEC updates cannot be downloaded in this way.Edit: Update! Many of the removed updates seem to be still available to download from MS Update Catalog! The website is IE-only and the download speed is not very fast but at least it does work! Also the Catalog seems to be the only option to download Win2k updates (not only the removed ones but all updates) for Japanese NEC98. You can't access them from the public M$ site because even if you select JPN (NEC) the site will still link you to the x86 version of the update. ZortMcGort11
Try searching for Unicows on Microsoft's website. Was there last month. Now, POOF!!! It's gone.I understand it's quite old, but still. I'm surprised that none of the KernelEx users for Win9x have noticed yet.
