Revolutions Pack 9.7

Recommended Posts

GDI update is required for your system
You can request latest 98 official GDI from here:

http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotf...px?kbnum=289635

That hotfix installs GDI32.DLL and GDI.EXE v 4.10.2225 and is indicated for all localized versions.

However, for users of English Win 98SE only there is the unofficial v. 4.10.2227, which can be downloaded here: Q918547 and for English Win ME there is v. 4.90.3003 here: ME918547, as Drugwash pointed out some posts above:

The WindowsME GDI files (both GDI.EXE and GDI32.DLL) can be installed on 98SE systems (in DOS mode and only both of them at once). I've done that few years ago and it helped running certain stubborn application.

There is an updated pack at MDGx's site (4.90.3003), can safely be used.

Hello,

anybody knows if there is a french version of the user.exe/user32.dll update for win Me (ME280800.EXE) ?

In windows explorer, with the Windows Vista icons, the open/closed folder icons are inverted.

Thanks for RP9.

I get an error right after installing, rebooting and choosing a skin. I have installed

IE6 and the unofficial GDI-update.

Never mind. I was playing around with Active Desktop. This somehow disabled

switching to another theme in the Appearance tab in Desktop properties. Now I

know for sure to stay away from it.

Off topic: Is Tihiy in love? I noticed the heart on his last posts...

Revolutions Pack 9.1.0 RTM

this version cleans my bug list (as if)

http://tihiy.ahanix.org/RP9.exe

- Minor changs&fixes in RPConfig;

- Added IE6 warning in RPSetup; added updated user&gdi requirements;

- Fixed minor icon loader bugs;

- Tray is forced to 32-bit icons;

- [Finally resolved] pink corners;

- [Finally resolved] scrollbar tracking.

This should count as release version. Please confirm fixed bugs (or tactfully report them).

If nicotine won't kill me, expect guide [and maybe a bit decent site] soon.

I have installed RP9.exe, which I presume is Version 9.1.0. Is 9.1.0 the same as 9.1.0 RTM?

Anyhow, Tihiy, you are a GENIUS! I have been living with very poor screen graphics from my LCD display and I had

blamed it on my graphics card and Win98.

With your software installed, my screen graphics is SUPERB and my faith in the goodness of mankind has returned.

And thanks to a Google Search, I found this forum.

Is there anyway I can donate for your work? How do I do it?

No. However, you can spread Win98 and help others.

A further question: do you intend to develop RP or any other 9x project for financial gain?

I had MDCU installed, but that was an old version of it 2.5 or something like that,

that's why I didn't try to install it wthout your advice.

After installing MDCU 3.05 RP 9.1 was installed successfully, everything works OK.

Many thanks, Tihiy! :thumbup
