Hey all. Has anyone else installed the RC2 release of SP2. i downloaded from mircosofts new v5 update site and so far the service pack has been good with my pc. there has been no errors apart from the 'security centre' advising me to install a antivirus software. The firewall handle very well and the popblocker is great, i havent com across one pop up yet (reason might be i only browse a few sites). All in all the SP2 has returned no errors. I posted this thread to find out, if other people who have installed SP2, have had no problems so far with it.

Hey all. i just updated my pc and there was a critical update on microsofts site about direct x, well i added that to be downloaded and installed. at the same time microsoft update downloaded direct x 9 for the pc. what is direct x? will it have anything to do with how the pc runs from now on?

try using another proxy near you, i currently am using the: cache1-mant.server.ntli.net I have had no probs with it, when i revert to using no proxy some pahges dont loads for me. This means i will be using proxy all the time now

if you have a router you will need to forward ports: 4661 4662 4672 5555 If no router and you using xp take off the built in xp firewall, also if using norton, zonealarm etc, disable it for emule. Check out emules site for more help

doent that affect all users globally? because when ver i use mcc it restricts all users even admin
