It's just a missing driver, nothing special about that I'll add it to the next update of DP Sound B.

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@mark49: I must admit that I did not test method 3. Simply because I'm quite limited in time. But I think I've already found the problem. @erik_demon & mark49: so when you're starting without a winnt.sif, the problems arise! I'm debugging ATM... -
DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Oh, found the error... RD /S /Q %FOLDER%\M2 You can remove that line, it's obsolete! I'll upload a fixed version. No need to update the version number for this. It's not a real bug... EDIT: uploaded. Everyone who downloads it from now, won't suffer this issue. Or you can manually re-apply everything, of course. -

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
BTS DriverPacks BASE V5.05.1 Supported devices. Changelog: -New: [DPB] ability to let Step 2 also be done automatically! -Improved: [DPB] upx'ed 7za.exe. -Improved: [DPB] RUN_ME.cmd: screen output lay-out. -Improved: [DPB] method 3: extraction should now complete in all cases, plus it should be faster. -Changed: [DPB] now completely switched to Fedit.exe instead of nircmd.exe to edit all textfiles. -Fixed: [DPB] Multi-Boot tools: the outdated entry 'afasttx2k.sy_' was still there instead of 'aftx2k.sy_' -Fixed: [DPB] RUN_ME.cmd: cleanup wasn't working properly. -Fixed: [DPB] RUN_ME.cmd: now it's IMPOSSIBLE that double entries will exist: there will be a cleanup, then the right setttings will be set. -Fixed: [DPB] RUN_ME.cmd: RunOnceEx was not properly working. -Fixed: [DPM] now the Si3112r.sys is also being used for the Adaptec ASH1205 device: this fixes the problem that some SiI3112's and SiI3112r's were being recognised as an ASH1205. Download -
That is an EXAMPLE. Green Machine says for which strings you should look in which file!!! He explains the method, using the SiI3112(r?) as an example!

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
See, you edited the DriverPack Sound... Purpose? Simple... the Realtek HD driver is THE ONLY ONE that needs it, therefor it should only be slipstreamed if it's present. I hear you thinking 'isn't the Realtek HD driver in D\S\R\HD?', well then you're right, but that's already fixed... -
DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Huh? You're the first one to have that problem... The files are indeed first removed, but copied again afterwards (to make sure the latest versions are used). Did you modify the DriverPacks BASE? Please check in UWXPCD_ROOT\M? for a folder named 'KB888111', if it isn't there, that's the problem. P.S.: welcome to MSFN.org -

Finding a String in a File
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to RaynotRoy's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
You can do that with nircmd.exe or Fedit.exe. -
Please post the HWID of your nForce 3 audio!
-
You're talking about the hdaudbus.sys driver, I suppose? Well, you can easily do it: -you could use my DriverPack Sound A + the latest DriverPacks BASE. It automatically handles all of it: the slipstreaming of the KB888111 (that includes that MS driver you're talking about) and the Realtek HD driver. OR -if you don't want to have all those other drivers included too, you can download DP Sound A and remove all the drivers you don't need. Don't forget to give it the same name, else it won't slipstream the KB888111 hotfix. P.S.: please wait for V5.05.1 of the DriverPacks BASE, there some critical problems will be fixed.

Different methods-does Pyron+Drivers Pack worth?
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to wneto's topic in The General Stuff
An alternative version? Clarify please P.S.: if you're using a top-notch top-secret version, and you don't want anyone to know about it, please PM me -
I mean incompatibility with NVATABUS.SYS, while it's COMPATIBLE with ATAPI.sys, oddly enough. But note that this is only true for textmode setup, in Windows, nvatabus.sys will just work fine. But you can only have this error, if you modified the txtsetup.sif file yourself, thus changing the settings of my DriverPacks BASE...

[next] Driverpack Massstorage
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
Aha.... Very well I'll try to recover all those txtsetup.oem files... They're all on my hdd, so shouldn't be too much work. As far as I understand, (I've never used BartPE *YET*) they're necessary, so I'll add them in the next release. I won't promise any date though. I don't have much time from now till the end of June... -
Eh.. Could you please clarify your question??? Are you asking me to split it up or to add c-media to DP Sound A? Or to remove the nVidia APU driver from it? No matter which one, I don't think so... If you don't like the structure, you can easily repack the DriverPacks to your own needs

DriverPacks BASE V5.05.2
Bâshrat the Sneaky replied to Bâshrat the Sneaky's topic in The General Stuff
@pedro80: you don't have to set that EDIT: @muiz: ok, great news @imdos: no problem, I'm glad it's finally working for you! -
And those are the MAX & theoretical data rates... IRL it's MUCH lower!!!
-
If you want it to be done automatically, use my DriverPack MassStorage + the DriverPacks BASE. But please wait for V5.05.1 of the DriverPacks BASE!! The current one gives trouble... Though it works (nearly) fine with DP MassStorage only, only the cleanup doesn't work.

Did you try Green Machine's tutorial?
