  1. No! I used ONLY your drivepacks following each instruction steps. I really think it is a VERY strange behavior. I don't have absolutely ANY clue about what would cause this. In fact there is a point, my WinCD is actually an "alternative" version. But I installed winXP from it (no slipstream) in a PATA HD with no problem at all. Let's see if it happens again somewhere. Again, thank you for your support!
  2. FINALY: IT (quite) WORKED!!!!!!! DriverPack Strikes Again!! Good job Bashrat!! Thank you very much! Why did I say quite? Because at the very ending of the process of copy files to HD, the installation asked for files Ntdetect.com, NTLDR, and Bootfont.bin. It couldn’t find theses files in CD! The weird thing is that, after installation, I checked the CD and theses files were in the cd folder where they were supposed to be (ie %root%\I386)! I had to copy those (and the other boot files) manually from another installation, then I used fixboot and now is everything ok. Should be possible that this strange behavior happened because my XP version is a Portuguese XP???? Anyway, I’m going to put this information as a report for other users of Basrhat’s DriaverPack. B) @Basrhat, do you have any idea of how to fix this, so I can do the whole process automatically in the future?
  3. You mean Si3112.sy_ to ASH1205.sy_, right??? If not, where do I find Si3112.sys?? In I386\ I only found Si3112.sy_
  4. Bâshrat, The first try (above) was using method 2. I’ve just tried method 1: same problem reported for method 2! Fortunately I used two CD-RW, one for each method! B)
  5. Bâshrat, It Fails!!!! I completely followed the instructions (no even one modification). I got the message: File ASH1205.sys could not be found (or something like this) before setup started to copy files, system stopped, restarted and I still cannot install. Any suggestion?
  6. Thanks Glimmerman! I think I have tryied this already, but I'll do it again latter. Before I need to test Bâshrat thing.
  7. Yeah! Believe me, you are not so afraid as me!!!! The important question here is: do you know something about other experiences using MassStorage drivers for integrating of Sis180 Sata/Raid controller driver? Or I'm going to be the frist one to try and report this here?
  8. Bâshrat the Sneaky, I had recently tried to fix my problem of installation of sis180 raid controller in XP using txtsetup.sif (you gave me some help). I couldn't solve the problem yet. I've been some research and find that, if I’m not wrong, you can find tree (or two) methods of integration of raid/sata drivers: 1. Pyron's method: which seems not to work properly in sata/raid devices installation, when you cannot use f6 (as I said I have problems with my floppy controller); 2. Txtsetpu.sif method: which I've been trying with no success; 3. Pyron's method using DriverPack MassStorage: I'ven't tried this! One important question is: Been number 3 a Pyron method, could it install sata drivers at the beginning of installation in order to allow winXP recognize the storage device and install itself in it? Which method would you recommend? I'm thinking in going through number 3. Do you know if there were successful experiences with integration of Sisraid 180 using method 3? Thanks!
  9. Bâshrat, this was my first try! I did the regular method using this regular method from pcstats I got a BSOD after windows copied files to my SATA device and reboot! The only difference is that small modification in txtsetup.sif. Would be possible that only the substitution of [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0180 = "WinXP SiS964 Raid Controller" [SCSI.load] SISRAID_XP = sisraid.sys,4 [scsi] SISRAID_XP = "WinXP SiS964 Raid Controller" by [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0180 = "SISRAID" [SCSI.load] SISRAIDP = sisraid.sys,4 [SCSI] SISRAID = "WinXP SiS964 Raid Controller" could solve the BSOD problem?? Sorry if it is a very stupid question!
  10. Sorry about the code tags Bâshrat! I'm getting used to this forum! I’ll try the modifications you suggested, but first I need to know better where to put each $OEM$ folders. The options are: D:\$oem$\$1\drivers\sata\ property.dll, sisraid.cat, sisraid.inf, sisraid.sys and txtsetup.oem (this last one wasn’t in the same dir as sisraid in the motherboard cd - I don’t know if it is a problem, IS IT?????) D:\i386\$oem$\property.dll, sisraid.cat, sisraid.inf, sisraid.sys and txtsetup.oem D:\$oem$\$$\oemdir\property.dll D:\$oem$\$$\System32\property.dll Do I need all this?? Is there a problem if I put all them??
  11. My modifications in txtsetup.sif: [SourceDisksFiles] sisraid.sys = 1,,,,,,3_,4,1 "(I used MAKECAB)" [HardwareIdsDatabase] PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0180 = "WinXP SiS964 Raid Controller" [SCSI.load] SISRAID_XP = sisraid.sys,4 [scsi] SISRAID_XP = "WinXP SiS964 Raid Controller"
  12. Oh! Yes, I used it in txtsetup.sif file. I just didn't kwon the name of it. Here is what is in txtsetup.oem form motherboard CD related to sisraid, copyied by me in txtsetup.sif: PCI\VEN_1039&DEV_0180 Is it necessary to copy here all my modifications in txtsetup.sif???
  13. Sorry! but what exactly is a HWID?? I haven’t used this yet! Thanks!!
  14. Hello All!! I’ve been trying to integrate my drivers for Sis180 (sisraid.sys) on my XP installation for 4 entire days. There’s too much information on web about other Sis integrations, but any has solved my problem yet. Unfortunately I don’t have my floppy controller working properly so I don’t have other option but make this installation work. I’m wondering if any one can help with this topic! The tutorial that took me farther on the process was: http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1703&page=1 Using this I could make windows setup to copied all files to my SATA Maxtor. The system restarted and I got a BSOD (0x0000007b). I made a second modification: Changed the sata-raid-drivers-path to D:\$oem$\$1\ property.dll, sisraid.cat, sisraid.inf, sisraid.sys and txtsetup.oem (this last one wasn’t in the same dir as sisraid in the motherboard cd - I don’t know if it is a problem!). I kept the txtsetup as in the tutorial above and added a the following folders and files D:\$oem$\$$\oemdir\property.dll D:\i386\$oem$\property.dll, sisraid.cat, sisraid.inf, sisraid.sys and txtsetup.oem. The winnt.sif was: ;SetupMgrTag [Data] AutoPartition= "0" MsDosInitiated="0" UnattendedInstall="Yes" [unattended] UnattendMode=GuiAttended OemPreinstall=yes OemPnpDriversPath = "drivers\sata" WaitForReboot="No" [GuiUnattended] EncryptedAdminPassword=NO [userData] FullName="" OrgName="" [identification] JoinWorkgroup=GRUPO [Networking] InstallDefaultComponents=Yes [MassStorageDrivers] "WinXP SiS964 Raid Controller" = "OEM" "IDE CD-ROM (ATAPI 1.2)/PCI IDE Controller" = "RETAIL" [OEMBootFiles] TXTSETUP.OEM SISRaid.inf property.dll sisraid.sys sisraid.cat IT FAILS!!!! SETUP WAS UNABLE TO START COPY FILES! message erro: UNEXPECTED ERROR (18) D:\xpsprtm\base\boot\setup\ormdisc.c. What can I do now???????????????? My motherboard: P4S800D-X My SATA HD: Maxtor 80 GB Thanks a lot folks!
