Ok managed to see the issue after integrating any language pack. Fixed for next one.

You can run vLite on XP SP2 and newer to configure Vista ISO which you then install after. Do what ever you expect from it, follow the warnings if it says that you are about to remove the needed component and answer Yes to keep it. After Applying make the ISO and test it in the Virtual PC if you are not keen on reinstalling a day after when you see what more you need or don't.

Without extra fix it is identical to the old version in that regard. So maybe you changed the voltage then or it's pure luck since it is a hardware issue. If it works without the fix it would be helpful to try it once again with the fix without changing anything else.

Only things found for me was in the HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache which is unimportant. What did you find? Maybe also attach a preset as well.

django, tried your preset and it was fine, did you delete the integrated stuff on the list or it was really this identical preset? sp00f, can you confirm that it's the Natural Language removal?

I presume you pressed Apply and applied the changes before making the iso, it showed integrating that hotfix and so on? Is that 32 or 64bit Vista? Users with 64bit Vista and this issue reported that the fix didn't help them. Only one said that raising the DDR voltage in the bios did (together with the fix?).

Which exact entry is left? Just name few.

1. if you integrate critical hotfixes that will be enough 2. it will warn you, also it's recommended to use Recommended Compatibility

Full Vista is bigger than one CD so that means your recovery CD just activates restoration of the hidden partition. So no it can not be used with vLite.

Only Network Center fails and thus can't enable Discovery, File Sharing works, are you sure that others can't access your PC with the Computer name or the IP? If they can but it asks them for password or similar then play with the policy settings. If you just want that network discovery (for browsing through Network with Explorer without typing in the name in the address bar) then reinstall with UAC kept.

Isn't it obvious. For backup, if you installed with setup.exe or ditched the ISO. Sometimes people come report a bug and say that they don't have a last session any more. You can disable last session backup in options.

Heinosity, not that I know of. Thing is are you sure that 929777 is the one which helps you after install? If you could test without hotfixes, then install them one by one, of course starting from the 929777, and see if it is actually the only hotfix you need to solve that issue or it's some other as well. If it's with the another one then I can help.

I just tried it now and it's true. Then I deleted the Autounattend.xml file from the folder root, Split again to remake ISOs and it works! So it's somehow the Unattended settings, please delete the file and remake until the next version, I'll see what causes it and warn or detect when Split is used, thx.

You could enable UAC in the Cpanel - Users - Turn UAC on/off Reboot. Then on that popup it could ask to allow and do it for you.
