Ok few days ago I was reinstalling my machine but this time I didn't boot from a CD but ran the installation manually with the winnt32 and then I got that missing sys file error for my textmode driver. Fixed that for the next version. If you boot from your cd and get that same error with your integrated driver (without pressing F6) then let me know.

prx984, only problem with his question and virtual machines is that you cannot see how smooth it is because virtual is slow. But in essence I know what you ment and it is recommended to first fire up virtually.

@billmn, do you by any chance run that installation with Winnt(32) manually or networked, not booting from the CD ? If that is the case then it's fixed in the next version. @thenapking, in that case make sure you don't remove any SCSI and IDE drivers/hw support in the Components page.

E-66, tweak to hide 'search for people' sometimes not working I could swallow but screen savers sometimes not removed even if selected I can't. I'm afraid without definite instruction how to duplicate that there is nothing I can do. Or you're saying only that one screen saver remains? What's the exact file name please?

Depends what you consider by replacing. If you mean which one will be installed then yes only the newest will be installed. But if you mean on the driver cache then no, it doesn't delete old drivers. Eventually all drivers will be removable then you will be able to remove the ones you're sure you don't need or upgrade so that they don't take space.

Tried it and no issues. Maybe someone knows what could trigger that, I did test on Vista Lite, could be that Defender maybe blocking it.

drspy00, only in this case press No, otherwise it's recommended to choose Yes. MS did a tiny error in the versioning of that file, I compensated in the next version.

I tried not to clean the regs and it didn't help, so it's some of the files (registering that file maybe) but that's out of the question to save some unneeded file because of the harmless error popup which in essence shouldn't be seen that often. Do you have some antivirus installed? Try to uninstall it temporary, maaybe even just turning off the resident protection would help. This is here known Windows Filter Manager bug.

Nope it reads the info directly from the hotfix. Really weird. But other users can't reproduce this again too so I gotta just forget it.

First of all it's not the most buggy, my guess is you are having some addon or method issues. So you say I have 8 days, I'll try boss. If I don't make it use what you consider the less buggy release, or put some effort in proper bug report, or just remind me of it if you think that I missed it.

You're not doing anything wrong, it's just it doesn't support "textmode" drivers yet, only PNP mode. It will be available in a version or two.
