What I do with the Intel INF chipset is: -extract it to some folder and don't touch the structure -Insert-Multiple drivers folder-select that folder where it was extracted -select both XP and XP\Sp For Intel Matrix storage driver -run iata621_enu.exe -go in the temp folder and copy "Driver" folder -Insert-Single Driver-Select any inf from the Driver folder -Select all from the textmode list What confuses me is that you say you have Ich7*.inf files... I recommend using the Intel Matrix Storage driver for that, download it from the Intel's site, it should have only 2 inf files in the Driver folder: iastor.inf and iaahci.inf, select any.

To all: - Does this include decompressing the driver.cab, do you delete it then? I mean only driver.cab could slow down the file search, individual files shouldn't. Judging from the script it doesn't touch the CAB files - Isn't it faster for a CD/DVD drive to load less bits from the media (compressed file) and compression doesn't influence the speed in the time of dual cores, cab compression is easy to drive? Try this from a real media and it have to be slower than the compressed one. I won't be defensive, after all I am just saying what would be normally expected but haven't tried this yet.

If you mean presets then yes it will be fine. But the big question is why, isn't the point of vLite to provide you with more freedom to configure it as you like. If you don't know what you want then maybe give it time, use the full version and get familiar with what you actually need.

Hm you say it gets the error only if you burn it and run from CD, that means something is wrong with the burning process. Either try lower speeds or try Nero to burn ISO and make that ISO with vLite.

Why do you think vLite caused that? Reinstall your chipset drivers, also see about disabling antivirus or similar tools if you have any. Most importantly run chkdsk /f on all your partitions.

It's because of Fully Automated Unattended Mode. Removed that feature in next version.

Once you make ISO with vLite you can burn it (or burn directly with vLite) and it will be bootable. Then set in your BIOS to first boot from CD/DVD or press F8 while rebooting then choose (works on some motherboards).

5DollaHo, not possible. As I said only way would be to remove what you don't want from the Ultimate. With time the selection will be more detailed. Then, only then maybe I'll put presets to mimic Home edition, but you will still have Ultimate, it will only have components as Home, which in essence is Home + less limitations.

By booting from a cd/dvd it is but it won't make any difference with your problem.

That's kinda weird, display drivers were always standalone. If someone else has a laptop with Intel graphics and integrates downloadable drivers from the net try to install them by manual updating it in device manager after removing display drivers in vLite.

Only winnt.exe method will have this issue, is it so hard to boot from a CD or run the setup with winnt32 from another Windows.

Steam Trout, weird as it is I downloaded IE7 Russian (has same file name as yours) and it integrates fine... Try deleting nLite folder and reinstall it, try from the clean nLite and clean Windows installation CD again.

Well that so called new XP is not official, you probably picked up some of the pre-tweaked ones with integrated hotfixes. Please use only clean Windows, if you need updates use some of the Update packs or integrate hotfixes with nLite.
