  1. Indeed, all files should copy fine unless your disk is failing or the FS is corrupted.
  2. You seem to be a hardware manufacturer or an affiliate of one What I find most disturbing is the rate at which software efficiency is decreasing, and Vista is a perfect example of such a decline.
  3. I've decided to go ahead with 4.10.2226, it is now available for download. However, it is not for all machines - use it only to replace an existing 4.10.2226 without Enable48bitLBA. As such, work on Win95 versions 4.00.1111 and 4.00.1119 will now proceed.
  4. Excellent Now we can try to take it past 137Gb I'll patch the latest version of ESDI_506.PDR for Windows 95 (4.00.1119 I think) after I'm done with 4.10.2226
  5. http://www.google.ca/search?hl=en&ie=I...of%22&meta= Found the file in 2 seconds. The first link is dead, but the second works fine Keep in mind the +"Index of" technique the next time you need a specific file
  6. Set the partition active and use fixboot command to rewrite the bootloader.
  7. Make sure it's the PSU... if the mobo is shorting out a new PSU is just going to exhibit the same behavior. Look at the connector on your mobo, and choose the PSU that matches the connector. It's probably a normal ATX. Overload protection refers to shutting down when current draw exceeds specs, while overvoltage prot. refers to excess input voltage. Practically all PSUs now have these features. I won't even try to explain this, but it's usually not needed unless required by law in some areas. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_factor_correction for more information. SLI uses a pair of graphics cards and is mainly for high-end gaming.
  8. FX5200s can be cooled passively, I have a fanless one with a large heatsink that covers most of the card. This is because they're not a high-performance card.
  9. I only have PS7, not going to upgrade as it works for all my image editing needs.
  10. Actually, both xvid and divx are MPEG4 codecs, meaning they produce the same output format.
  11. Yes I can, and I did use one of those two HDs until I bought the other one. It was connected to the IDE controller as primary master. RAID controller was disabled. No driver other than the default one was installed. I only mentioned the RAID controller because the two HDs made a 240 GB (>127GB) virtual drive and I wanted to tell you about Scandisk and drives that large. But, did you fill up more than 32Gb of that drive? The >32Gb problem may be just as the >128Gb one, i.e. it doesn't show up until you actually fill the drive past the limit.
  12. I think your chipset died, since the integrated Intel graphics are part of the chipset. MSFN has a hardware forum btw.
  13. LLXX

    Runtime Error

Reinstall IE over itself, sometimes it gets corrupted.
  14. If you have Ghost, consider making an image of the drive first. That way you can always start off from the state just after the format if you do something wrong during attempted recovery.
  15. Every 3 months. I don't work with many files, so there is much less fragmenting.
  16. Another (free) way of changing MAC, is supported on most ethernet chipsets (including Realtek). In the device manager, select the properties of the network adapter and under Advanced tab should be a setting called Network Address or similar. Enter any 12 hex digits.
  17. All switching-type PSUs emit high-pitched sounds, though most of the time it can't be heard since the fans are usually louder. An electrical humming is also normal. It's clicking since it has no load - the output voltage rises quickly, causing the regulator to cut the power (that's why it's called a *switching* PSU). The output voltage drops and it turns on again, then off, etc. It's actually a bad idea to run a switching PSU without a load for any length of time. Anything of greater than or equal wattage. 250W units are rare now, I think the minimum for a standard-size PSU is 300W.
  18. If it remains that way for a few hours, nothing is wrong
  19. Look through the source code of the page. In this case you may have to look through a few auxillary javascript files, to determine what LaunchBroadcast function does (I'm thinking it's in listen.js... not sure though)
  20. I recommend use XviD instead - free, open-source and does not produce .divx files. It's also said that the quality is better.
  21. If you want a really minimal system, look here : http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=59856
  22. The only (slight) problem I can think of is not delaying enough between register writes in the new registers initialiser. This may result in data corruption on systems with overclocked PCI buses. I have the following commands implemented: These are the commands found in the original file: I don't think I forgot any of them...Anyway, release of 4.10.2226 will be suspended until further notice.
  23. http://www.hacker.co.il/psp/bochs/ Very slow, as the PSP does not use an x86 CPU and thus has to run under emulation. The screen resolution is also less than ideal.
  24. Haven't upgraded to SE yet?
  25. This can be caused by a virus or other malware as well.
